Hi sir..I have a doubt. In intermediate text book, the energy level arrangement of sigma star and pi star molecular orbitals ABMO for below 14 ele. Confign is reversed with your concept . Means sigma star mol.orbital is in top (high energy) side and pi star molecular orbital is in bottom (low energy )side. Is it correct sir.

Thank you
Concept clearly explained from Basic level to advance level
(Means upto csir level)
Thank you so much sir
We want more videos sir
Good explanation thank you sir

How to take J value if electrons filled up to zero (means exactly at middle)what we consider below half filled or more than half filled
Please mention configuration, like d³ or d⁵
d3 highspin
d5 lowspin
@@ladellashivaji623
For d³ high spin:-
L=2+1+0=3 so F term
S= +1/2+1/2+1/2= 3/2
2S+1= 4
J= |L+S|..........|L-S|
J= 3+3/2 ......... 3-3/2
J= 9/2 ....... 3/2
ground state term symbols = ⁴F3/2.
For d⁵ low spin :-
L=4+2+0=6 so H term
S= +1/2+1/2+1/2 -1/2-1/2= 1/2
2S+1= 2
J= |L+S|..........|L-S|
J= 6+1/2 ......... 6-1/2
J= 13/2 ....... 11/2
ground state term symbols = ²H11/2.
Last example is allowed transition

Below 14 electron electron will not go for antibonding so we can ignore the arrangement of ABMO. So we can write both ways

May I know the mistake?
