It was confirmed that Rachel has the ability to manipulate nature and that's why when Rachel screamed the wind picked up and the fire grew so fast, there's little things throughout the game she does that show more of her power but the storyline was removed from the game in development and that's why it not fully explained

There wasn’t really any mention of the other games in lis 2 besides when sean is in davids trailer or rv you can find a photo of max and chloe or a letter talking about chloe or max but its easy to miss
In episode one they are looking over Arcadia bay and can see it destroyed or not depending on your last choice in LIS1 there is also a book by mark Jefferson at Chris house so there are some Easter eggs in LIS2 but true colors is the only one to really connect back to max and Chloe because Steph is there and she talks about the storm or Chloe getting shot in her DLC the little hints in every game keep me interested everytime!
