The song from the "baby fire" is The Lure Would Prove Too Much which is also by the Twilight Singers. The "baby fire" is one of the most powerful scenes of the series, and based on a true incident and in my eyes much more powerful and gut wretching with the orginal song as played in the series.
The baby fire is based on a real event. My old man has been a career ff for Dayton and when i left for my first deployment ill never forget his words of wisdom. "You can't save everyone....some days unfortunately a bad day is going to win. Brace yourself for those days."
this show makes me what to give more to my fellow man. Though the story of this man may be a bit skewed, it applies to everyones life; there is struggle and there is happiness. This show applies to a lot of peoples lives
Last year was in Detox for drugs. St Charles in long island. So there a media room, a bunch of DVDs and it had rescue me !!!!. So every day (a total of 4) I re watched the series got up to the 3nd season. MAN does rescue me hit so FUCKING hard in detox/Rehab. And this song Bonnie Brea at the end of the episode when tommy fights......????? DAMMIT I am forgetting his name o'Reilly from OZ shit. But yeah I watched the ending over and over this song is wonderful. Man I hate having to deal with addiction my whole life. But, atleast I am clean now. Cheers dennis your show helps
its not the best show ever its around 5 or 6th up there with deadwood and oz. what makes this show that bit better is that it questions life and everything about it and looks at real human emotion
