Lets utilise this time to be constructive with our words.
Lets look up racist and racism on google ( its easy)
Secondly, if you think Jemele Hill is radical, you must not speak with many African American's because she has a nation of millions supporting her and who feel exsctly the same way she does, except she has a platform to do it.
ESPN is far from.alt-left, closer to alt-right with its lack of corporate diversity( lets not confuse the few talking heads or do you say tokens in place on a sports network where 90% of the talent is AA....sounds just like the music business also....

I miss waking up in the morning and watching his and & hers on ESPN. It was just a different vibe from that show in general. They usually talked about real life topics and not just sports which was different. But it really shocks me to find out what she had to deal with during her final months at ESPN. The crazy thing is I was just thinking about her and what had happened to her, it's good to know that she had no regrets and that she is very happy.

I definitely miss Jemele Hill at ESPN. I like different voices. Too much of news and sports ends up being about whomever runs the thing trying to get everyone to speak with the same voice... and that has never made sense to me. Not only did I like Jemele, but I also couldn't understand some of the random hate for her from others. Even with the thing that sort of got her into trouble specifically with "the tweet" that seemed like the kind of thing you could just let go if you weren't a fan of hers and move on from it... but, oh well... she seems to be happy about how things have turned out now, so good on her for being herself and sticking to it.

What does hair (fake or otherwise) have to do with anything? Like lots of men and women don't have hair extensions or wigs or whatever... I guess virtually all women are unhappy because they wear fake makeup?
Also... she literally says in this interview that she is married, and likely wouldn't be if she hadn't parted with ESPN... so leaving ESPN actually led her to a relationship that makes her happy... in her own words.
And besides, all the reasons I ever hear people say they don't like her are fake reasons. Ultimately it seems like most of her haters want her to shut up and do what she's told... typical reaction to either being black or female in America... and she is both, so she gets a double-dose of the nonsense.

Great video, there's a reason I give ESPN the hashtag #BSPN. I'm shocked about it but appreciate Mike Hill giving his perspective. It helped me to understand Jemel Hill's story more. I hope that Michael Smith redefines himself with all the ex ESPN personalities. I'm just going to borrow these words and speak this next part "Quite Frankly," ESPN is hanging it's hopes on kissing billionaires behinds. Putting their lead "carnival barker" Stephen A. Smith, who I call the modern day Stepin Fetchit in control as a buffer to a lot of what you hear in this video.

RL Flynn brother while I have nothing but the utmost respect for you and your decision and also your views, I gotta say that the way things are stem from the white man just being the white man (I call him “D”. Short for D. White man!). So when you talk about the uppity “accent” brothers (because you know when they talk you say “fool you don’t really talk like that! Nigga, where’d you get that accent!”) it really is not their fault because they don’t know any other way to be. That shit was taught to them or they learned by experience. You and I both know many black people who speak English clearly and correctly, they just sound black while saying it. The white man hates that because it makes HIM feel uncomfortable so now it’s a no-no and it needs to be changed. See that shit ain’t on us brother it’s on them. That whole house nigga Uncle Tom thing came from the establishment being a type of way towards ALL us. Like with all people on earth, some are strong some weak and some deal with things one way and some another way. So really when you encounter the truly brainwashed negro in America (Charles Barkley, Clarence Thomas, Stacey Dash, Patrick Maholmes, etc.) we should really take pity on them instead of dousing them with hate because they truly don’t get it and they really believe they have a true “friend” in “D”. It’s so damn sad.

@@ludotoyhunter8492 I respect your commentary on my statement, but the fact that we continually fall in line with "D" is no excuse for buffoonery. Daily, I maintain my job with respect for myself and the person coming after for I knew my day was coming, for I prepared for life after 6 figures, and it's sad that they feel they have no other route but to suck up to the bigotry.

    • @ludotoyhunter8492

RL Flynn bro I wanna tell you that I respect you for that and I respect your dedication to you. Most people period, whites black whatever, will sell pieces of themselves to get money. However I wanna tell you a story about my father. Same as you 6 figure job but he was at HP. So he goes to training for a new job and he is the only black dude there. The white boys first tried to get him to party with them and do cocaine. He refused. Then they go to class and he gets taunted with the “oh I see affirmative action is in effect in this class” and all they racist shit. He calls my mother (they were divorced at this point) and said “just tell me I’m worth it”. The second strongest man I have EVER known was almost broken down by some piece of shit white folks who probably got their job because they were related to the boss. Now the last day of class comes and the instructor is handing out test scores and who did the best? Well I asked him about how he got through it after that phone call and he looked at me and pulled out his wallet and he said “like this” and I looked and it was my fifth grade picture where I was in a black suit and red tie! I asked him later in life why he endured that and didn’t just go somewhere else and he said that 1: you can’t outrun the racists in America; where can anyone black go and not have to deal with racism? and 2: if he quit then it means that they win because you and yours ain’t eating then it appears that you were just what they said you were AND the job you have you’re keeping away from some entitled white person so by hanging in there you are defeating them at the game THEY play. See they can nigger nigger all day but I don’t have to pay any attention to you because you saying that while you’re emptying MY garbage at MY desk. So it’s playing chess and not going to war open and suffering loss. Our generation (as I am assuming here that you are under 45 and over 30) has more of a focus on self and human beings as a whole, so we like to live in the feelings of what feels the best. It’s not wrong but still I have seen us lose a lot of wars to win a few battles. So I am not saying you are wrong but in those positions we CONSISTENTLY need to be playing at mvp level and CONSISTENTLY playing keep away from the white nan who believes that that job is his BECAUSE he is white. Believe you me that is a huge prevalent mentality amongst white Americans brother.

Jamele Hill is a movement!!!! I love this lady. Mike Smith became a legend because of your tweets. Y’all was great together, big-big icons in the culture. Surprise Drake haven’t dropped you two in some bars.

I'm glad she mentioned the damage done to the people supporting her. I was of a fan of hers but equally a fan of Michael Smith. And he took a lot for doing what a lot of us dont do. Supporting each other and having each other's back regardless. I'm glad she's appreciative of that, because most aren't.

While I do admire her for being herself all of the points made during the discussion are moot. It’s one thing to be yourself but it’s another when your attempting to be yourself but you come from a community that has no leverage due to a lack of political and economic power.
