Been waiting for this to launch so that I didn’t have to mess about with micro-USB… genuinely shocked that it hasn’t been addressed. Also curious as to why they haven’t bothered to move to USB-C with the new European regulations? Baffling.

I suppose my point was more around essentially every other popular device aside from this and recently the iPhone 14 refusing to budge. I don’t particularly care where the regulations are coming from since there is so much common sense around it.

Nice review, thank you, but i stopped in the middle of it. No USB-C is the only reason I'm not buying this speaker. Bad decision from UE. Looks like they didn't want to invest in an old concept since this speaker was firstly announced to be released in 2018. So probably more of wonderboom 3 is going to be old dated tech. Now I have to buy JBL flip 6. Can't wait until wonderboom 4 is out.
I’m used to the UE Boom 2 but currently don’t have the budget for the latest UE Boom. Would this be a decent enough replacement. Only talking about the sound. Mostly use it at home. Thanks.
It would be better, old ur speakers like the booms never had enough bass and always sounded hollow. This sounds better and better the more you turn it up and sounds like it’s packing double the speakers it has. That’s what i think of the wonder boom 2. Now i have my wonder boom 3 on the way

I bought set of 2 first gen wondebooms four years ago on a sale for 80 pounds. Still working and I have no reason to upgrade them. I am very satisfied costumer.
Except these have the worst micro usb c ports in existence, and we are literally probably talking less than like 30 centsa device, it should have wireless charging and it's one little Dock and charge me 120 I'd a paid it happily
@@jynpark I've had my wonderboom 2 for almost 2 years and never had any issues with micro USB. You can also just get one that attachs to usb c and has a chain to connect to the cable
What and f ing joke, ive been waiting 3 years for this. Usb c, wireless charging, microphone. Boom... done! Thats all they had to do. The 2 had the worst micro usb port ever too, it's so finicky on all 3 I've had, one was unusable quickly and I returned it. The fact that you omitted usb c in late 2022 after all this time is insane, and they should be compatible with the woderboom 2, it's the same f ing speaker. I'm soo mad, I take my 2s with me paddleboarding constantly, and would use them even more if they weren't such a pain in the butt to charge, ihave to use the rubber plug underneath the cable to push the cord up a little on both of the ones I still have. F U Ultimate Ears! I'm seriously so sad, I just wish it still didn't exist, this is like the wonderboom 2.00000001
It would be better not to be released at all... it's a g@rbage... literally a wonderboom 2 with different and horrible color schemes. I'm pretty sure that there were left extra pieces from the wonderboom 2 and made an "upgraded" version... it's what Apple did with the Iphone se 2020 that was made out of the extra pieces left from the Iphone 7. I'm also pretty sure that wonderboom 3 has the same battery and they just modified the 13 number with 14 to make it sound better on paper.
Why do we all care so much about the charging of portable electronics these days…….oh well speaker sounds fantastic and comes with the cable to charge…..we all have those cubes sitting around….so if you like it buy it and enjoy….who cares about the charger lol!!!
I got this speaker for free from my 25 year old niece she gave it to me she say got 3 of them and she gave me 1 its a pink one that she gave me its all good to me at least i didnt pay for it and i just save me some 💵😃

Wonderboom 3 looks identical to the Wonderboom 2. Micro USB option could be to keep the cost low? Not too sure why that is.

Take the original for the price, the difference is minimal, or if you can find the 2 for under 50, that'd be the best of both worlds
