    Sir ,in this lecture
    1. Is 1ohm resistance is medium resistance which is in between the contact ?
    2. Contact area means ?
    Pls sir reply

    When contacts are separated the contact area will be increased or decreased tell mee

    sir, why arc voltage is maximum at current zero? U said the arc is purely resistive, so arc voltage and arc current( which is the fault current) are in phase .

      @@lecturesinelectricaleng sir, but why voltage is maximum at current zero point ?For inductors due to 90 degree lag , voltage is maximum at current zero point. but here arc is purely resistive right.

      @@lecturesinelectricaleng How does arc voltage vary for different types of faults? is voltage maximum for current zero for all types of faults?

    As contacts are seperated then how contact decreases.

    is 132kv or 33kv sufficient for field emission??

      isn't this high voltage sufficient to cause breakdown of air or oil??

    sir, why heat is produced as current passes through arc??

    • @prabhatlalkarn1880
      @prabhatlalkarn1880 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      But a well established arc has very less resistance, then how such a huge amount of heat is produced??

      can we say that the arc current is equal to fault current ??
