We're back! On a serious note, though, I do apologize for the long absence. I've been working on a personal project that I look forward to sharing with you guys sometime in the future. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy more Browns film content!
Glad to hear it was a work thing that kept you busy. Started to worry over the last months. Next to Brett Kollmann / EJ Snyder you are my favorite football channel (and these two are always shitting on the Browns 😉)
I would add that in the play at the 3:37 mark, the CB was holding the entire route and most likely would have been called as such in the NFL as they call defensive holding very aggressively. The CB had his hands on the outside of the shoulder pads and continued to hold as he came across the DB.
Great breakdown. While he did struggle at times vs press coverage i have seen him beat it a few times. Against UGA he was destroying all types of coverage. So im on the fence with this pick. He has the potential to become a solid #2 WR or low tier #1 WR.
He was also great in 2021. I know he CAN beat press, it’s the inconsistency that worries me. I’m with you, I’m on the fence with this pick but I’m hoping he continue to develop.
Good breakdown and I would agree. That being said, offensive coordinator’s can work around some of those shortcomings with plays designed to take advantage of press coverage. Plus, this guy is big enough to be an effective downfield blocker on RPO’s
Steve Smith and Mike Renner think he does well vs press... The RedZone clip would be called defensive holding and Tillman still made the contested catch. IDK I think you found a few clips from the same game where his technique was questionable. Later in the season, when it really mattered, he beat all types of coverage showing how much he improved is technique.
Good to know. I feel like he is going to be the 4th or 5th receiver this year. With the free agents wr and Cooper and dpj on the team so hopefully he can develop consistent press man skills.
appreciate the objective analysis - too many Browns content creators and fans are "poo pooing" this pick without a clue what the implications might be. I'm concerned, not only about the ineffectiveness against press, but the lack of explosiveness and injury history. tbh, seems like David Bell in a bigger body (see: WR project)
We should have drafted a DT, Ed, or LB at 74. Receiver was not as pressing a need. Berry went along with Stefanski’s foolishness. He should have been fired after last season.
Sounds like you're just cherry picking plays and repeating what others with no football knowledge have said about him in press. Why do I think that? Steve Smith thinks he's excellent against press... Too many people keep playing up jab steps too. If you know football, any good CB knows not to bite on jabs; bad corners bite on jab steps, they usually play opposite or neutral of a jab. Also, when the QB doesn't throw the ball to the immediate guy open on a play you're watching, simply look at his eyes. Hooker was looking left, where his primary route progressions and reads likely were, especially obvious when you have several routes comboing on a side and an isolated Tillman.

Love your breakdowns, friend. Keep them coming!

He will get bigger & stronger in the NFL. Plus, DBs won't be allowed to mug him as was shown in the video.
Very well done.
Dawg Pound Dish serves up the quality content every time! Hope you do more of our picks when you get time.
Yes! I knew these would be coming! Finally some real content about our draft picks! You are the man!
Love to hear that! More on the way…
@@DawgPoundDish I figured there would be lol

Hey man, I love your content and really appreciate your opinions. Great videos on the way.
That baker image 😂😂😂😂

So well done. Only one? Please do Jones next. Strangest dominant film I ever scouted for a tackle.
Going to be doing every draft pick in order. And yes….the Jones video will be fun, to say the least!
That baker pic 🤣😂😂
Is this press more apparent this year or in 2021? That ankle surgery could have zapped a lot of explosion and physicality at the release.

Hopefully he's the man..def great hands..his speed isn't apparent in the highlight tapes..
