Absolutely amazing sightings!! My fav video so far. Female leopard ran right up tree next to vehicle. Absolutely epic!! Piccadilly female and cub was amazing. Which male leopard is father of the cub?? 😂The best was at the end with Amahle and Eorenji greeting each other and strengthening their bond!! This just made my morning. Thanks for sharing

MM - That was interesting to get to see the Ntsevu pride and the Stone Drift female both hunting the same herd of highly alert impala. I'm sure the young SD female was a bit disappointed that her impala hunt wasn't successful, but she can certainly count her lucky stars to get away with her life after a Ntsevu lioness chased her up a tree on the bank of the river. I wonder if she was successful in getting herself a meal that night.
As she's often seen with the big Flat Rock male so much, I'm hoping it won't be too long now before she's at long last, heavily pregnant with her own very first litter of cubs. It'll be nice if that happens before the year is out or early next year. She's obviously desperate to become a successful and good first-time mother as well. She'll be four yrs old in either January or February next year.
What I do think is that she was possibly mating with the Flat Rock male before leaving him to go on a hunt for a meal. But I can't be sure that is the case, as she wasn't with him at the start of the video clip at all. However, that is a possibility that could well have been the case with them both before parting ways separately. She's a very beautiful female leopard to view and see in many clips from time to time. I hope she'll be just as successful in raising cubs as her mother is and has been many times in the past. It will be so nice to see a very big increase in the leopard population over there as well.
I bet the Flat Rock male got a big nasty fright when he was just suddenly flushed out from a bush by the elephant herd. Didn't he? It was obvious to me that he didn't hang around by wasting time getting out of the area and probably moving on to somewhere else quieter, where he won't get disturbed. He bolted out of the bush he was hiding in, like a bullet. I bet he wasn't expecting one nasty shock like that. But he's one very big and handsome boy.
I know the Flat Rock male is also the father of the nearly independent male cub of the Piccadilly female as well. She will be 11 in November, and I think her son will be 2 early in the new year. He's only the 2nd cub she's successfully managed to raise to almost independence age. But I'm sure she must be feeling very pleased with herself, as she's given him so much tlc, and provided them both with so many meals nonstop. Hasn't she? In the clip, I couldn't tell which one was the cub, as he is pretty much about the same size as his mother. It looked so nice to see them grooming each other together in the shade if a fairly small tree. As she's been seen mating with the massive Maxims male a bit in the last few weeks, it tells me that she's preparing to get ready to mate and have what I think must be her sixth litter of cubs in the next few months or do. I reckon in that period of time, she could pick to mate with more than one male leopard to try and increase the survival of her new cubs to be. What do you think? The twin sister of the Piccadilly female, the Sibuye female, has raised a few more cubs successfully to very hard independence than the Piccadilly female herself has. I hope she'll keep her entire new litter and raise them very well.
If one lioness in the small Ntsevu pride has lost all of her 4 tiny cubs to bad mange, then I hope she'll soon be mating to try and conceive a new litter of cubs with the 2 ever dominant Ndhzenga males, who I think those 2 male lions were just before the end of the clip. Let's keep our fingers crossed for her, that she'll have more luck.
Hope to hear from you shortly.

Well, it was not the best day for leopards: missed out on an impala meal; surrounded by 3 lionesses had to retreat to a tree; flushed out by elephants while relaxing. A great ending with the two kings relaxing. 🐆🦁🐘🦌

Beautiful. But it seems very unusual that the leopard started the hunt like that. Half-heartedly, without having a real chance to get- and then keep prey.

Did you guys see the muscles on that leopard when he was sitting on the rock? Like a pro gymnast trained to it's absolute peak. I remember Kevin Richardson talking about the pound for pound strength of leopards he said if you could've scaled it up to the size of a lion he wouldn't go anywhere near them. That speaks volumes taking into consideration he snuggles with big male lions.

Cheetahs are the fastest of all the cats. Tigers are the strongest cat in the world.
Ex zoo lions can make pets but you need to be careful. Some large cats like swimming.
Hyena are similar to a cat be
    But they are not cats.
