I cannot think of any rapper in the history of hip-hop that has been more influencial, stuck to his own convictions, has better lyrical content and complexity of flow, and a more impressive overall catalogue of songs than Nas.
02:10 "This is just a moment to let you all know that we miss you. Mommy I'm still here, Wishin' I was there with you..." Feeling this line to the fullest... RIP Mum ❤
I feel like growing up in a certain era you just have a different level of depth simply because of the things you were exposed to...music, movies, the lifestyle. This reminds me so much of growing up✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
Streets Disciple is one of Nas best albums and most slept on album ever. The concepts, stories and musical arrangements on this album makes it one of the best double albums in rap history. Many dont even know Nas dropped a double album. This is it.........
I pray for Haiti.. this moment is for them R.I.P to those that didn't survive the hurricane... I pray for Chicago, my home town is facing a gun violence problem this is epidemic. R.I.P to all the young men and women that lost they lives just being in the wrong place at the wrong time.. I also want to say R.I.P to those 147 students that where killed in Garissa Kenya...
Man, loved this track back when it dropped in '04 and love it even more now. Quan was around for too short of a time. Nas is quite frankly the best to ever do it. The street version of Langston Hughes for our generation mixed with a bit of Shakespeare and Edgar Allan Poe. A true MC poet.
Nas.... The best to ever do it! 'Mummy I'm still here, wishing I was there with you'...everyday. A moment for everyone who has ever lost somebody dear. I feel like this generation really needs to listen to Nas
For every G that fell for his flag in the street.” 🇳🇬 That’s black Tuesday 20th October 2020 The day Nigeria murdered her people in the streets, and so many youths fall for their flag In the streets that day. ‘Sad’😭😭😭😭😭🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬 What a song from Nas and Quan
If I had my way, I'd make that day a public holiday.... If I had my way, I'd also make sure everyone involved in masterminding that baseless murder, face the wrath of the law and are blacklisted from Nigeria politics for ever

And now Kobe, his daughter and the others in the accident

Nas!!!! One of the best hip hop rap artist of all-time!!!!!
I was only a teenager when this came out. I'm 31 now, the older I get the harder this track hits. RIP to all the people we have lost.
Same here
This beat is so East Coast....
Remind me of trains, cold gloomy nights....
Love it!!!

Prayers up to you and all those who've gone.
One of the Realest songs in history..NAS is on of my favorite rappers because he is a conscious rapper...
Nas is the GOAT.
I cannot think of any rapper in the history of hip-hop that has been more influencial, stuck to his own convictions, has better lyrical content and complexity of flow, and a more impressive overall catalogue of songs than Nas.
02:10 "This is just a moment to let you all know that we miss you. Mommy I'm still here, Wishin' I was there with you..."
Feeling this line to the fullest... RIP Mum ❤
this song is here for our lifetime... will never go away or get old. listening in 2024
This song is so spiritually powerful, it transmits a lay down vibe
I feel like growing up in a certain era you just have a different level of depth simply because of the things you were exposed to...music, movies, the lifestyle. This reminds me so much of growing up✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
Most Definitely
To all the homies my Big Brother and to all WORLDWIDE

Can we please have a moment of silence? To all the Gen zs and 254 citizens that died on the struggle for...........😊😊😊😊😊 nomaaaa.
Streets Disciple is one of Nas best albums and most slept on album ever. The concepts, stories and musical arrangements on this album makes it one of the best double albums in rap history. Many dont even know Nas dropped a double album. This is it.........
Great album
A little too much kelis talk
No blame..the man was in love
Thank you
Best Double Disc imo
Dan Newell she was that man wifey at the time it didn’t work out. It’s ok everybody moved on
It went platinum
I pray for Haiti.. this moment is for them R.I.P to those that didn't survive the hurricane... I pray for Chicago, my home town is facing a gun violence problem this is epidemic. R.I.P to all the young men and women that lost they lives just being in the wrong place at the wrong time.. I also want to say R.I.P to those 147 students that where killed in Garissa Kenya...
😔🙏
Man, loved this track back when it dropped in '04 and love it even more now. Quan was around for too short of a time. Nas is quite frankly the best to ever do it. The street version of Langston Hughes for our generation mixed with a bit of Shakespeare and Edgar Allan Poe. A true MC poet.
Israel Rosario Jr. Wow tht description
@@Honeybudz57389 those are my sincere sentiments.
True man,u right
Nas Influenced every rapper today
@@user-so2rh9om6y "...I AM the truest, name a rapper that I ain't influenced, gave ya chapters but now I focus eyes on the Judas..."
I'm still slapping this in 2024 it's a classic, and forever be a top 20. No matter how many good songs get made. Thank you 🫡🫡💯🫡💯🫡👊🏿👊🏿
Its simple. Hip hop with a real message don't get views. Just like in real life
*doesn't
The better it is, the less it's appreciated!!
To live a good life is not about following the crowd or what is popular but living good and doing good and God will bless us for that
I've lost both my mother and father recently I miss them so much, thanks to Nas and Quan for this one!
very sorry bro
I lost my father almost 2 years ago. Stay strong good times are gonna come.

The goosebumps when listening to this song 😔
Only a few hiphop songs can do that.
It's 2022 I'm still blasting the dope classic song🔥 Rip Pac, Big, Guru, Proof, Freaky Tah, Left Eye, Aliyah, Craig mack, Dmx😭
RIP to real hip hop. I was 15 when this came out, still bumping it
Its been over a year since you commented, i hope you are good.
Hip hop needs people like you, spread it to your kids and to the peoole around you.

For every G that fell for his flag in the street.”
🇳🇬 That’s black Tuesday 20th October 2020
The day Nigeria murdered her people in the streets, and so many youths fall for their flag In the streets that day. ‘Sad’😭😭😭😭😭🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
What a song from Nas and Quan
Peace to the dead
Respect to the great
That's all I can say
Condolences to the families
🇳🇬
If I had my way, I'd make that day a public holiday....
If I had my way, I'd also make sure everyone involved in masterminding that baseless murder, face the wrath of the law and are blacklisted from Nigeria politics for ever
