I never heard this piece. It's great to hear it for the first time by one the great guitar players of our generation.

I thought I knew the music of Carcassi, I played all his plays from the famous “School”, but today you again made an incredible discovery for me, playing a real masterpiece! Immense thanks!!!

Thank you Alex! I inherited this piece from my first professor. He had a habit, not to teach us technique only with etudes, but to let us learn playing music and technique through these kind of true gems.

You are right he has so many beautiful romantic pieces especially for beginners! It's unfortunate that many of his works are not played.

@@borbalaseres Are there any other opuses by Carcassi or Sor you could recommend that would be considered hidden gems?

What a charming piece ! And your inspired interpretation only makes it more charming .Bravo !
And it is true that Carcassi , apart from his excellent op 60 studies ,is ultimately not that well known .For example , did he compose major concert pieces like Sor , Giuliani , Coste , Mertz ,Regondi ?

Hello Vincent! Yes you are right his op 60 studies are probably the most known, but he wrote many good works especially for beginners. And yes he composed also major concert works too. Maybe they are not so virtuosic, than the pieces of Giuliani or Sor etc., but he has some advanced opera fantasy and variations.
