I just recently stumbled upon a crazy yard sale where the lady was DONE with yard sales.. it was a Saturday and she said that she was selling since Wednesday, so when I showed up around 3’ish - which is late- she was like $1 on everything you see! I picked up Teva, Born, Dansko, NYDJ, Sundance and other items! I was so happy!!! I love your channel and as usual, please keep posting your successes and your failures because it inspires me!!!
If that happens again..just firmly say, “Excuse me..you are pushing me out of the way and it’s rude. Thanks!” It’s hard, but it’s the way to handle rudeness. Not getting mean.just being direct. It’s not a bad thing to be direct.

I understand finding deals on used stuff, but the amount of new with tags merchandise you find blows me away.
I’m not keen on reptiles, but that orange tee with the black lizard (or whatever), was waaay cute! And I loved the Dior scarf too!!! I love to watch you do yard/garage sales Ash. They’re my fav videos that you make! ♥️

that happens to me getting pushed out of the way at the GW bins ... I hate the bins I call it " a little piece of hell on earth"

fun fact: my grandfather worked for Madewell for many years, always bringing us home a bunch of free jeans! The factory was originally in New Bedford, MA which is where he worked!
p.s: i believed he worked as the treasurer of the company, unfortunately I cant ask him about it because he passed away in 2019. just thought I would share that random info with you all!

It's sort of refreshing that you bent like a willow instead of getting snarky about being crowded out by those shoppers rushing the new totes. You are a little bit too kind/gentle/classy to brawl over it, and I like that about you. I really enjoy your videos, you show people how it's done!

Ashley, I am so grateful for your videos! They’ve helped me so much - I’m a newbie reseller (since January), & I’ve learned about brand names & styles that I wouldn’t have known about otherwise. I remember you saying in one of your videos that you do the best with items that you pick up in person - garage sales, thrift stores, etc. I find the same thing! I find it to be more exciting that way, too. I’m so looking forward to seeing what you got in the black garbage bags!!!! Also- I love that your kids were camping out under the table!

Don't judge me, but I purposely go to the bins without deodorant for this very reason, when the edge me out I will reach over them with my stinky armpits and they usually move away. I know it's gross but it works LOL

The Dior scarf is a tease. I found similar one at bins once and thought it was cashmere but then realized it was just acrylic. They trick with Cashmaire on the tag.
Love your videos! I laughed out loud when you told your boys to get under the table. 😂 That was probably a good strategy to keep them from being squished!

Your 1986 single stitch has a salamander on it, not a lizard. Key word might help it sell faster or better

Girl, that was rough. I’ve had an annoying similar experience at a garage sale. I was standing at a table looking through pieces (clothes)…. When home girl stands RIGHT BESIDE ME and then literally LEANS & REACHES DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF ME rummaging through items in front of me. And I just stood there like what in the greediness is happening right now 😅😏

I have experiences like that all the time at my local goodwill bins and people will actually physically shove and push me out of the way. After seeing the size of some of the men there though (over six feet tall and super muscular haha!) I decided it wasn’t worth running in to get first dibs. I’ve always noticed in their rush though, they overlook so many valuable items so I don’t mind anymore! I’d rather look through a bin at my one leisure than elbow my way in
I agree! I found lots of stuff most people overlooked - I’ll go ahead and grab the leftover crumbs 😆
First thing that came to my head when I read your post is that you need to get a little hand held taser/stun gun. Use it a couple of time at the bins and people will keep their distance. LOL!

You are way nicer than me! We have a family that comes in and literally fills 4-5 carts with shoes. The ship them out of the country to families to sell. They act like you are invisible. Push you and block. They act like they don’t speak English when you call them out. I complained because we have been told only one cart. Yet they have 4-5 lined against the wall. They were to afraid to confront them again. .
