Greatest Live Album in History. It contains two or three of the best solos ever recorded live. Child in Time, Highway Star and Strange Kind of Woman. Last time I made the same comment I was reminded that Strange Kind of Woman was the third by a few people. The original LP's didn't have any studio enhancements or changes. The band wanted to give the listeners a realist live experience. And I have listened to the Album for 46 years about 3,000 times I guess. I usually don't go a week without listening to it. I listened to the album on my portable GE WILDCAT STEREO! Usually with the head phones on a thousand times. When I got my first real Stereo I had to purchase the album again. But I will always love my Wildcat Stereo. I took it to many places and it bounced around a lot and it still works and sounds pretty good. It should be put in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
this was my first ever record i own,i got it from my brother to christmas 1972 , i was 11 years young,,today i am old but still DP listener,,thisis a must have landmark master piece

I remember having the vinyl of the album when I was 13 years old. This is just better than what I had back then. There is a book with the CD's yet and all kinds of sort of cool things with it. I want to buy it, Where can this be found at ?

ogrebattle22763 The fourth CD includes the encores of all nights. Meanwhile the remastered edition from '98 contains only one performance from each song, the 40th anniversary box set contains the three perfomances of Black Night Speed King and Lucille from the three days.
Sinceramente, não gosto desse disco por causa de uma música : "Child In Time", que além de ser muito longa e cansativa, aqueles gritos estéricos do Gillan não desce viu!! Outra coisa, que sempre me intrigou, é a bateria de Paice....cara, parece que ele estava tocando ou socando caixas de sapato...muiiito sem peso...horrível, enfim, acho que este disco na verdade é super-estimado, mas o Purple tem discos ao vivo bem melhores !!

The copy I listen to was my dad's and has to be 50 years old
@@johnconway8199 So happy you listen to Made In Japan. My son is 30 years old and I raised him on Deep Purple and Rainbow. Sabbath and Uriaheep also.
The penultimate version of each of these songs. I have a lot of deep purple bootlegs and live recordings, but none surpass this album.
