The origin of dreadlocks came from ancient Indian yogis along with its mystical and spiritual teachings. They travelled across the planet and reached to many places such as Africa, Americas, Asia etc. Even today there are thousands of yogis in India following ancient teachings, and they have dreadlocks.
The whole origin of mysticism and spirituality came from ancient Himalayas, today India.
The first yogi called Adiogi came from that region. Legend says that he is not from this planet but came to give this gift of Yoga to humans. Sadhguru talks about this as well.
We thank him because he brought tools of self-transformation. We all are brothers and sisters of different color, race and culture but share one common LOVE. 🙏

Idk spirituality is a natural conclusion any human being on the planet would make. But I do believe there were origin stories regarding the beginning of humanity that influenced all or most religions today.

Brother, do you understand that Haile Sellassie had his own warriors who had dreadlocks? This means the mau mau of Kenya alone did not influence them. Did you know that they were bringing an Indian holy Men from India to do work in Jamaica during the beginning of Rastafari forming in JA? They are known as Sadus and they have dreadlocks, and they smoked Weed and ganja is a Hindu word , Bob Marley‘s nickname Tuff Gong was influenced by someone else’s spiritual name gongurumargh that comes from Hindu language that name belongs to one of the First RastafarI Elders in Jamaica, known as Leonard Howell, brother, there’s lots of information that you need to re-edify in order to give this information with more clarity. Please let me know if you need resources pictures, etc..

It's a way of life, not a religion, and it is a global liberation movement for all living things. The roots are black literations in the branches and leaves Are a worldwide struggle for global riders. For all opens people. Make no mistake we Dea.
L with monotheism, so we say one god for all nations. Also, dreadlocks came from the Indian workers in Jamaica. Who taught I and I of the jata rocks, vet, hindus and buddhists wear.. Dreadlocks is the natural air of all mankind if they just wash their hair and don't condition it Or brush it.. As a matter of fact, there is no whiteness. That is a man made concept when we are all in fact, shades of brown. One black god for all nations .1

Like the use of the ganja herb, they continue to call it the gateway drug, not fully understanding it's potential or blessing from Jah/God the most high.. ALL PRAISES TO JAH THE MOST HIGH, IN HIS NAME WE PRAY 🙏 AND IS WITH HIM WE CELEBRATE LIFE AN THANK HIM FOR OUR MANY BLESSINGS!!! RASTAFARI!!! 🙏❤💛💚🙏

I'm from Singapore. A local asian with dreadlock. I don't really fancy dreadlocks, but I got to do it since I want to keep my hair long.
Because my hair is dry, brittle, freezy and mess up without dreadlock, I go to my local loctition and lock it.
And it's by far the best decision I made so far. 8-9 month with dreadlock and lovin it.
But here in Singapore, we don't have this kind of hairstyles amongst us locals. Some of them think that having dreadlock, we don't shampoo or wash our hair 😂
Children call me the setan or devils😂 some said that i'm following the black people when I'm not even black to have dreadlock.
All this stereotypes o and black people with dreadlock don't talk to me and look away when they see asian with dreadlock. It funny.
I'm wearing it proud and always smile when those critics comes. Anyways, you got me subscribe to your channel.
