Wanted to thank you for such a beautiful and well thought out design. I finished my take on your gore 14 just this December. Your simple sheet of information and cut diagrams laid out so information so cleanly. I routinely spoke highly of your foresight and design skills during the build. - Best Regards and Thanks.
hello May I know how you managed to create the starting template ? you used software or on paper ? however congratulations for the great work done as soon as I can create a wider model I want to build it too
Hello, great design. I enjoy this challenging technique. I'm currently building your 15'8 canoe and was wondering what your beam measurements are for the 15'8 or 16'?
What the heck is gorewood? I've searched and used different kinds of searches and all they come up with is a computer game. You can find a very few references to gorewood canoes, but no information on what kind of material it is.
Have a look at the links in the description below the video, maybe that helps. The material ideally is 4 mm okoume marine grade plywood. The outer layers should be at least 1.3 mm with longitudinal grain orientation for the right bending characteristics. Gorewood in this case refers to the gore-s which are part of the cutting pattern for the plywood which is made of -wood.
@@boatfabricationchannel2991 Thanks a lot! I couldn't find word "gore" as a "piece of material, shaped like a triangle" in my dictionary, so I couldn't realase what does it mean. Thank you. 🙏
Point taken. If you really want to dig into the building process have a look at the photo journal of the build: goo.gl/photos/MWCVLV3hWnpxKiPd9 When you click the info button of the respective photos, you will enable the commentary.

amazing craftsmanship, mesmerizing, bravo
Danke schön.
Pretty cool ! Do you have plans available ? Doesn't look like marine plywood.
I wonder if you could use thinner plywood and after the canoe shape is attained cover that with one eighth inch thick cedar strips.

Hello. How did you make the scarf joint so it could handle being bent? Are you using epoxy resin?

Hi John, 33.5" (85 cm) measured to the inside of the hull is about right.

@@flomoflowingmotion Thanks, it was frustrating because all the search engines kept coming up with links related to a video game.
What does "gorewood" mean? I can't find an explanation
Hello gorewood is the name of the technique he used to bend his plywood sheet by cutting gores in it

It would have been more educational if you would have explained as you went along
