"Who killed teddy bear" is actually a fantastic movie. One of the best movies from the 60s. Juliet Prowse and Sal Mineo in the same movie is delightful!
I watched that movie when it was shown in the 60's, & it's still one of my all time favorite films !
Jack Clark was the regular announcer and a quite good MC in his own right!
This was ultimately a fun episode to watch since Juliet Prowse and Hugh O'Brian seemed to have great chemistry... but not having Allen as the host took some getting used to! Thanks for all the uploads. Love your channel.
This is the first episode I saw in which Allen is not present and it's been a big surprise because if I watched 100+ episodes, Allen was of course present in all of them. I've got used to new host Jack Clark in a matter of minutes. hosting is no easy task even for Allen. So 3:50 into the video and I'm quite pleased with this new host.
Juliet Prowse: I'M A BIG CHEATER!!! But I laughed after I did it so that makes it okay.
I'm so glad they started giving the losers money. So many people could have had an encyclopedia already, and no one looked thrilled about it! 😄
Hugh needed to cool his jets. Juliet mugged a lot. Put the two together and you got this episode.

The contestants going for "drawer" as "one who draws" rather than as in dresser drawer provided some unexpected amusement.

Somewhere around 6:09 Hugh's partner seems to actually say "caress" to him.
Can't believe Hugh got fashion at all, much less from designer! 👏. Then missed caress.

There is a definite difference between the words "yoke" and "yolk". I'm surprised that wasn't challenged somehow...
Many people pronounce them exactly the same.

The decorum really slips when Allen’s not around. It was funny at first, but people don’t know when to stop.
He says “no gestures” to a contestant while Juliette completely acts out “roar”. I notice the rules are not applied consistently.

05:10 LOL, what luck - he says 'white' and she replies with 'yolk'. Last time I checked, albumen was the white part and yolk the yellow part.
But the word was "yoke" not "yolk" anyway..
@@alanhumphrey4198 Yes, I know - but that doesn't really invalidate my remark does it? Or do you mean that in her reply she had actually been thinking about a 'yoke' and not a 'yolk'?
@@frikdt Your remark was fine, no problem; Allen Ludden should have confirmed what word she was saying--but I do realize there was the general rule that there was no spelling of words on PW. The words when spoken quickly do sound very similar..if pronounced precisely you should hear the "l" in yolk.
@@alanhumphrey4198 Ah, yes, I get what you're saying. But there is something else that is interesting. It's been a while since I had watched this, as you can see from the age of my first post, but just had another look. Don't know if you have noticed, but after the contestant had answered, the host (Jack Clark standing in for Allen) suggested that she had not given the actual word they were looking for but awarded her the points anyway. So it seems she was twice lucky on that one!
@@frikdt I had forgotten that it was Jack Clark instead of Ludden; I think Allen would have pressed her more on it had he been the emcee..anyway, as you say she was twice lucky there!!
I thought those first 2 ladies were going to walk off the show pregnant with all the attention Hugh and the other gentleman lavished on them.
Of all the cheating going on here I think even Bart Simpson would have shaken his head in discuss.
