The mighty tr with with the big Buick powered lump sitting under the hood was an awesome sound , like an out of control monster roaring through the woods on a frosty crisp morning, god be with the days , thinking of the great Tony pond .
@@oldlud8971 I know , they were based around the big block buick design , they first appeared in the 3.5 rover , generation 135 hp , and later in the rover Sdi generation 155 hp and 190 ft lbs of tourque , very modest hp for an engine of large capacity, but when fitted with a 600 cfm double pumper Holley carburettor and crane cam with a compression raised the power was raised considerable, it made for an excellent rally engine with truck loads tourque on tap 🚰.
@@fontheking5 It has to be said Rover did truly make this their own though, it wasn't just an engine built under licence. The original and the Rover units share little.

I miss my TR7 V8, what a blast that was!
The mighty wedge totally underrated
Love the two contrasting sounds and vehicle types. 👍🏻
That sound is precisely why I'm putting a Rover V8 in my project car
Triumph for the win 🥇
That v8 sound lush
It was the other one was a fart can nasty
Bloody wonderful!
theres a tr7 for 400 near me thinking this my sign to start a dope project
Do it!!
Class.👍
evocative..!!
I know the TR would not know which way the shopping trolly went but I know which I'd aooner own
EPIC
Im sure to bet the driver of the tr7 v8 was having way more fun than the driver in the Citroën.
Chalk and cheese.. matured cheese for me
Incredible sound until the Citroen was included!!! Give me old school brute force any day.
Are you going to upload a video of Ben friend testing at sweet lamb the other day
Hi Vinnie, sadly we were there to video that one, only photo coverage.
Shame it had the white car in the video
Shame some people don't appreciate the newer stuff. As long as its got an internal combustion engine I'm happy
