WOW, what a phenomenal way to wrap up 2024! This video is an incredible retrospective of past builds, perfectly packaged into one fun and engaging watch. Amazing job, Derrick! Can't wait to see what you have in store for 2025!🍾
Just watched this video. 12:21 as to the binoculars I had an idea. Temu are selling a night vision binoculars that look like they would fit perfectly into your 3d print. If you want I can forward the details to you as I have a set. Great video by the way.
Interesting! Sadly, I sold the binoculars to make room for other props in my collection, but if I ever build another pair I’ll definitely look into adding real functionality to them.
The affiliate links do not seem to be working with theses videos as I get a page not found message. I was curious about the deWalt battery powered glue gun that you used with the Tuscan Raider mask.
This is the thing I don't get about Star Wars props. You have a culture that is taken partly from Samurai, partly Siekh, partly American Gunslinger. All cultures that take care of their weapons because it is their religion. You beat up the props, add rust, add grunge (Not Nirvana) and say it's accurate. Makes no damned sense. A person who says his weapons are his religion will treat it better than their own life because it means more than their individual life. I guess it's hard for people who value their lives ahead of all else to understand. I get basic wear but grunge and rust I don't.
Star Wars is a “used universe” where most things are made from other things (including lightsabers) that have had lives before whatever their current use is. It’s because of that many of the props in Star Wars look the way they do.
Watching the marathon was such fun, and a masterclass of Derek’s go to tools and techniques!
