This is an amazing window! Can't wait to see the other windows to the side finished out the same craftsman style! I love it.! Your blessed! I looked at your video bc I'm diy bathroom window the size of the tub in a 1978 SINGLE WIDE MOBILE HOME ! I cut out the hole, now what.. cheers!
This is what I always dream of doing on specific spots around the house!! But wow, that window is huge but it’s the perfect size for that walkway!!! Great job. Looks gorgeous :)
Hey! Thinking about doing this to our house living room at the side to give it lots more natural lighting. I would love to know how much approximately this cost for a project like this
I was always taught you don’t want to caulk the underside of the trim to allow water an escape path. Love the window though, never would have guessed 400lbs. I bet that step was nerve wracking!
From what I've read, the nailing pattern on the LVL header pieces was unnecessary. A nailing pattern is to transfer load from one member to another when a load is applied to only one. As in, joist hangers attached to one member, where transferring to the other member is key. In a header scenario, both members are bearing weight equally, given conventional design and build.
Voted down- WIndow scale and size is poor design (subjective). Main problems are he talks too fast and is not clear, especially about really important issues such as how the temp I-beam works. Will not watch his videos again.
The video doesn't say it's a complete guide, rather an overview. There is something to be said for choosing what to exclude in order to keep a cohesive story. Plus, his cadence is great - again, its not a ride-along style of video, but rather an overview. I'm honestly upset that your comment is the only one that shows by default on my phone for the video but it is just obtuse.
Love this! Would love to know an approximate cost for a project like this
That’s a HUGE window! Looks like it belongs, though, good job!
This video deserves much more views!! Well done - beautiful 🙌🏼
Good job.
How much cost. ??

Nice. I would’ve made it a functional window for airflow instead of a picture window but it looks good. “Let in the light!” 😊
hi...I made a wood window after watching your video. Thank you for being an inspiration to me.
Great job. Looks amazing 👍
what was the price for the window?
Thanks! I'm new to DIY home improvement so this really helped :D
Awesome work and really well documented! Gives me some confidence to tackle something similar in the future 🤓💪
Wow! Excellent job!
You did a phenomenal job
What steps did you take for dusk meditation? I love Home Depot. My wife calls it my second home.
Great job beautiful window!

Do you need a permit from the city to put a window? Or you can just add it yourself?
Great job, hope that glass is tempered!
how is that header ok when you didn't connect the bottom portion of the I beam you made to the top plate?
Awesome looking window! Great job.
This video gets very interesting, specially @10:47
nawwhh, i mean yeaah
Is it possible to have a gap of 275mm between door and window? I see your other window is very close. Thank you😊
I love it! I wish to do the same in my home- ! I want to renovate the entire house- but my parents won’t do anything 🥺
Nice job
Looks awesome! How much was that window?

What would the installation cost for this?

Yes that was interesting after he spent so much time talking about water egress in the earlier steps. I wonder why
10:47 the wording and the image just fit too well 😳😏
I could not tell from the video but I assume to have a drip edge under the window to stop water being able to get next to the window.
Loved your video 🔥🔥🔥🔥
How much? For all this?
Nice work! I'm ready to put my wife to work now! :-)
You are one brave man! It's best to let HER volunteer.
Why don't you place flashing tape all around the window and not just on the bottom?
These windows contain instructions about what the window manufacturer recommends for a proper installation.

what is the brand of the window?
I believe he mentioned ANDERSON. You know, the one with all those TV commercials.
Thanks wel done
The header is horizontal, not vertical.
Are there any books you would recommend for getting started with house flipping or property investment?
Install a window that large with roofing nails ain’t right
What fasteners should be used? Genuinely curious
Massive window
kolamma you forgot to add the metal grill for safety....
Looks pretty easy. Lol
I’ve been looking for a contractor to do this for years theyWILL NOT cut the wall only replace existing windows
I'll be right over to help you. I have a lot of DIY experience. It's not a hard job, but it is messy, especially with dust and debris.
❤😊
It's a very poor practice to caulk the bottom of the window before setting the window. it keeps watter in
I guess he doesn't know about weep holes.
This would not pass code.
I don't know why anyone would want to paint their exterior.
This has to be a paid promotion, dap products are shit. Good job.
Can’t watch, uses ryobi
?
The best tool I have used to cut drywall is a Multi-Tool. Ryobi, a toolmaker, makes a great one.
No gloves or masks is bad and dumb
Def not diy lol
DEF means what? DIY means Do It Yourself.

This video is more helpful for people who already have basic knowledge of installing windows

I'm sure a code compliance inspector will let him know if he pulls a permit.
