this is the longest time george has spoken in an interview without matty talking over him bless
+Madison Montgomery that's because matty wasn't there
HAHAHAHHAHA
+Madison Montgomery in fact matty WAS there, you can hear his laugh at 0:35
hahahahahah true. his laugh.
babyumagic holy shit that laugh😂
lolololol i knew that was matty giggling lol
No joke it's his band too. Phenomenal drummer.
So underrated.
For me the most complex drummer out there
let's not get out of hand lol he is great but i wouldn't say "complex" imo
Yeah agreed😂
look up Matt Halpern or Matt Gartska, this guy is nothing on them
Joel Lynch Yeah there are loads of better drummers, It's just cause it's my face band it's good to kinda take pride in him😊
I love how his voice crescendos and decrescendos it just adds a sort of addictive quality to his personality and voice.
I love George's playing! What a cool dude
Everyone is talking about how George is underrated but GIVE ROSS SOME LOVE
Hahaha George sounds like a 55 year old British university professor.
Would not guess he sounds like that.
They all sound like that! You'd expect them to have a proper Manc accent but they're all have posh accents and use long as fuck words
Ironic that he's the youngest
it makes me so happy to see george really in his element. you can tell he loves playing the drums because he knows so much and all his words just kinda flow out of him when he talks about it. ugh god it's seriously so great.
It's cool because George's style is so simplistic but it matches the music so perfectly
***** Simplistic??? Are you crazy??? It doesn't sound like it's hard to play but as drummer I can say that this is so fucking hard! especially how he playes the City...
Mischa Tombal Eh, it's pretty simplistic. Pretty intricate, but still simplistic. For "hard' see: Animals as Leaders
Dude check the Hi-Hat patrones.. George is a genius he has simplistic pop beats but the ghost notes and the accent he has are amazing. He is creative (Talk! and She Way Out) How he filled in those songs is incredible. You should make a cover of The City's live version if you say he's a simplistic drummer Gavin Oswald
Mischa Tombal The fucking City!! You’re telling me! I’m a new drummer and I’m obsessed with learning how to play it. I’ve watched a gazillion live vids. Wtf is he doing? I’m gonna have to ask my drum teacher. It’s doin my head in.
The idea that anyone could call George Daniel’s drumming “simplistic” is just ridiculous. The guy is one of the best drummers in modern music
I've watched this 10 times already. I love George
Phenomenal drummer, producer and overall artist. What a god.
MATTYS LAUGH IN THE BACK 0:35 AW
me that was a dolphin laugh really
Lmao it's so adorable ❤
I could listen to him talk about his drums for hours❤️ he's so perfect
His voice just does me in, and this is probably the longest time he's ever talked
I just fell in love with George
THIS HAS BLESSED ME.
I could watch George play for a thousand years.
that "helloo everyone" fricked me the frick up.
y
Great drummer - understated, tight and tasteful. He’s become an influence after 23 years of playing.
Such a talented drummer one of the best at the moment, I can say it I'm a drummer.
He's very underrated...
Mischa Tombal agreed. I just started playing because of him.
he also didn't mention that he's basically the producer- writing the synth leads and whatnot
u can see how passionate george is.. 💙
I love Matty and all but he needs to shut up and let George talk more his voice is absolutely lovely 😍
16" hats and 23" ride?! Those large cymbals mixed with those crisp ass Yamaha drums....great sound.
still cant believe that i saw them live
// Teresa // i will se them in april 2016 and i started count days

I know right, I'm still in awe bc my concert was like 5 days ago
El's Life ♡

when they started playing milk I lost my shit omf
G is the best! Thank you for such a cool interview :)
I just started playing drums because of him. And I’ve watched this video a million times. I covet his cymbals! My beginner ones sound like frying pans. 😞
his smile 💙💙
Easily one of the best pocket grooving drummers now days. Wish the songs were better chosen to showcase his playability but still sick. 16" hats for life
Look up Steve Jordan
Yeah you're right
this kid is phenomenal
He's an underated drummer! I love him
legend
Isn't he lovely💗
I wish we could've seen him play Talk! in this or She Way Out(because of the sick time break).
Has anybody seen him perform with a 16 light hi hat? I've only seen him played with Zildjian K Custom Hybrid Limited Edition Reversible Hi-hats - 14 and Zildjian 13 1/4”K Custom Hybrid hi hats. I need to know asap hehe
I 👏🏻LOVE👏🏻THIS👏🏻PRECIOUS👏🏻MAN👏🏻
Milk went so hard
george daniel can KILL ME with his voice like omgggggg 😍😭
His drumming is amazing. That's all there is to say.
I LOVE HIM
Oh look it's my husband
Aww he's so beautiful!
Great player and he reminds me of Ringo for some reason
SUPERB drummer
Such an amazing drummer, and so underrated!!!!! What song's he playing?
What is that noise at 3:54 ? Some guy is like being murdered in the back
It's matty singing lol
Laughed more than I should have, your comment plus the one above is really funny.
😂😂
i have no idea what he's on about but i don't care
I honestly think "the city" drumbeat is cool as fuck!
Danny Cubin totally agree with this. It hooked me -first listen.
Krnflakgrl 71 it's awesome! As a drummer myself, I really appreciate that beat!
Danny Cubin I have always wanted to be a drummer. Always. Was a singer in school, but seriously want to beat the hell out of a kit at some point. Get to see Dom Howard and Shannon Leto at the same show here soon. Fairly sure I'll be picking up some sticks after that. ✌️
Krnflakgrl 71 good luck!
Yes G! Yes!!
A genius
rip replay button
Anyone know the song they're playing toward the end of the vid?
Milk - The 1975
+Mariahelena de Leon thought it was the end of "You"? Or is that known as milk?
Creativecoverz it's known as milk, they just put it as a hidden track at the end of you for the album :)
th best
SO THIS IS A THING
Good drummer but that snare sounds horrible
+TheHewhodareswins What! It sounds great!
+TheHewhodareswins I think the snare sounds lovely.
You're tripping.
His voice is so addicting wow
