No one will see this, but wanted to post anyway. Loved this song, album and band. Wish could have seen them live. One of the most underrated.... Was looking to find what the song " Chains " was about. ... Kudos to those who were fans and got to see them!!!
Collison are doing a reunion gig at Club Blackthorn 51 in NY come Feb 1st. 2020. The concert is a tribute to the deceased guitar player Ethan "Sugar Brown" Collins from the band White Thrash.
It was crazy....... early 90's and I would hear this band all the time on WAAF in Boston, MA. Then one day I realized I hadn't heard from them in a few weeks...... and I never would again (until Limewire came around).
Like many of us it seems I love this band as well. Bad timing? It wasn't for lack of talent. I'm playing this CD [Still has the sticker in it] today 5/7/14 and i still think they are better than most of what's out there now. Never saw these vids, glad they are posted.
I was just mentioning the very same thing to some of my buds! They were like the best kept secret of the 90's, very few peeps I know heard of them and when they listen they're instantly turned on! Maybe just poor distribution choices on managements part. I think we're all in agreement that it's definitely not lack of talent. First I'm seeing a vid too and stoked!
+Robert Frias Yeah - I think it was probably bad timing. This was a weird period of time in rock music. The whole 80s rock thing had kind of dwindled down by now, but grunge hadn't caught on yet. The record labels had no idea what to do. If Collision came along a few years sooner, they probably would have been much bigger.
2019...I don't know you, but I already know you're good people for digging this band and disc. I saw them live on the tour for their first album opening for Ugly Kid Joe at the Varsity Theatre in Baton Rouge and I literally went to a local CD shop the next morning just to buy this disc. Still a favorite to this day and I totally agree with you. All three dudes are excellent, but I particularly remember the bass player just positively slaying it on the live stage:) \m/
Opened for these guys in Indianapolis, hung out in the bus after the show talking music etc. Great guys, great musicians, weren't the typical clones of the time.
Bought this record after seeing this video on Headbangers Ball in '92; then played it quite a bit on the college's radio station! Always loved the sound these guys had; really big sound for a three piece. Distinctive fretless bass sound too; and the guitarist could shred. If you can find it, check out their song called "Love Not War." The middle section in that song is incredible.
There was one song they had, "Get Up and Get Hurt," that I recall. Or am I mixing up my nu-metal bands that rode the alt and metal arenas? Another good one was Dog Society. "When I'm Dead" is the song I recall.
@@imclever100 Nice to meet a fellow fan. Yeah, now I'm inspired to hit Ebay and get a copy of Collison's CD. It'll take me forever to scour what few used record stores (that carry CDs, if I am lucky) that are left, to find a copy. I only have two songs (this one and "Get Up and Get Hurt") of theirs on a home made comp tape that I just dug up amid my tapes.
One of the best rock bands ever, in my opinion. Did the reunion ever happen? Please tell me someone got it on video. Looking for the 1998 EP they put out if anyone can help guide me.

Man...been listening to these guys forever. Talk about a hidden gem. If but for a slightly different time, they would have been huge.

They have a song Get up or Get hurt. It’s on the 2nd album. That other song you mention isn’t theirs.
