after hearing from my checkups at the dentist how important flossing is I finally decided to make it a habit because I've just been too lazy haha. I've been using handheld flossers but recently I decided I want to learn how to use "real" floss and this video is so so so helpful. I'm really happy with my journey to improve my oral care
Thanks, I was doing it exactly as you showed in the last 12 years every day and stopped it 99% of the times in the last 4 years since I realised it made gaps between my tooth. Now I’m using water irrigator and really happy with it so far. Before no matter what, I use to get tooth stains even though I did exactly as my dentist said but now they all shining bright 😊
Dude, I went to the dentist last Friday for teeth cleaning and found out there was another area where plaque was building up because I never flossed. It was behind the final tooth in the rear, that you mentioned! It’s a tough spot to brush unless you shift your jaw over left or right.
flossing is a pain, but I am going to try to get into it, just honestly tried it for my first time, I am sure I'll get the hang of it, thanks for these videos!!!!

@@TeethTalk I live in Denmark and unfortunately I believe Burst products are not available here 🥲 but thanks anyway, I'm sure someone will be happy to use it!
Do you talk about and aware of PFA tooth floss tools? And what do you recommend for dental-tape/string (traditional) tooth floss that is PFA-free? Before I order on Amazon 😅I started taking flossing seriously and found your channel 😅. Thank you!!!
Good and simple video, thank you! Do you have any ideas for flossing an erupted wisdom tooth? One of mine has been like that for years now. Best I can do is use a toothpick and floss!
I have a question. Dentists seem to generally recommend interdental brushes, but they don't do all of what flossing does, right? They get the sides of the teeth where the gap is, likely better than flossing; but the brushes on top of that, also get the contact point between the teeth, and also get up under the gum line. Are those 2 additional things not all that important? I can't yet find the relevant information on this. The videos I've seen just don't address it. I see that you do recommend flossing as the primary method, and then if one struggles with that, to then move to another method, so that's making some sense there perhaps..
is it supposed to hurt? I floss everyday and i never bleed but some of my teeth, especially the molars, get very sore after i go deep into the gum line. Is it possible that im being too aggressive and hurting my teeth more than helping or is it something i shouldnt be worried about?
My dentist told me to floss, and I do have a stick floss, I can't use the one with the long string, because I am spastic in my left hand; I can use the floss picks.
Hey Whitney kindly reply . Is it safe to use Lysterine Original ( brown/golden colour) mouthwash with a PFM Crown. Since it contains alcohol so is it safe and doesnt cause any abrasion/harm to PFM crown? Thanks
nope -- it's the opposite -- NOT flossing and leaving food debris and plaque on the teeth is what will damage enamel over time. here's my different floss options video --th-cam.com/video/HzuSBPvsMcs/w-d-xo.html hope this helps!
Do you have tips on how to floss crooked teeth? I can floss my top teeth ok but my bottom 4 teeth are crooked and it’s difficult cleaning them which has attributed to my gum disease
Thanks for the video! I have a lot of crowding and braces, i can't get the up and down motion to work since the space is just too tight and seesawing is the only thing that allows me to actually remove the floss without violet movements that I'm afraid would damage my brackets / wires. Any ideas what to do?
@@TeethTalk I don't have braces, but do have significant crowding. I'm starting a treatment for it soon, but what to do until then? Is there an alternative technique if there is literally no space between the teeth all the way down, to the seesawing motion is the only thing that works getting the floss down between the teeth, but then the side motion doesn't work, because there is no space for it, the floss is just stuck.
Do you need to floss the part of the wisdom tooth where the gum at the back of the jaw meets the wisdom tooth? I always find that super hard tro floss.
