Nice informative vlog and hope people will not complain on insufficient throw, infact I do not face any problem with my Exter on same issue, satisfied with its throw 😊
Hi bro nice explanation. I had issue when it rains in the highway visibility is 20%😢 only and gets foggy in the mirror along with it 😮. Normal city drive no problem
@@ayushraj793 Using a 150W headlight in your car is like putting oversized tires on a car jo unke liye design nahi hui hai. Pehle thik lag sakta hai aur kuch faayde de sakta hai, jaise extra ground clearance. Lekin time ke saath, yeh suspension pe strain daalega, fuel efficiency ko kam karega, aur car ke dusre parts pe wear badhaayega. Waisi hi, 150W headlight zyada heat generate karti hai aur zyada current draw karti hai jo aapke car ke electrical system aur housing ke liye design nahi hai. Isse overheating ho sakti hai, connectors melt ho sakte hain, ya headlight reflector ya projector damage ho sakta hai. Dusri taraf, 120W ya lower headlight bilkul sahi size wale tires ki tarah hai-jo performance, safety, aur reliability ko balance karti hai.
Yes, you can upgrade to LED headlights for the Hyundai Exter. The stock halogen bulbs are around 55-60W, so you can safely upgrade to LEDs with wattage up to 60W. Make sure to choose a trusted brand for better performance and durability. Also if you are worried about warranty void issue then please get it done from your dealer it might cost you a bit high but your warranty will be intact and you won't face any issue while claiming for warranty.
I have seen a few people complaining about insufficient throw. So far, I haven't felt any issues with it except the one you mentioned towards the end of the video. But isn't this primarily an issue related to how human eye operates? Sometimes the vehicle on the opposite side will have super bright headlights, and it will make you literally blind for a few seconds, and you can't see anything! But I'm not sure if we can fix that by upgrading our headlight. Using an amber sunglass (yellow colored one) will solve this issue to an extent. Regarding headlight upgrades, someone recommended this model to me: 50w Osram 4300k. I haven't tried it though.
Upgrading to better LED headlights won’t completely solve the glare problem caused by oncoming vehicles, but it can make a significant difference in road visibility. With brighter and more focused lights, the road ahead will be better illuminated, so even if there’s glare, I believe it’ll be easier to see the road clearly. That’s my perspective on it. I haven't tried amber sunglasses yet but I have anit glare glasses which helps a little bit. I have lots of questions regarding the color temperature of 4300K. Theoretically, for fog/rain, warm white is better suited, i.e., 4300K, but as most cars have halogen lights, and their color temperature is somewhere close to 4300K, visibility in fog is still poor. Based on my experience last month during my Jabalpur to Bhopal trip at 5 AM, where there was heavy fog, I couldn’t see a thing in low beam despite having halogens, which are claimed to perform better in rain/fog. But when it comes to LEDs, most people recommend 4300K. So, it will be great to see how LEDs perform with 6000K in fog. With halogens, I couldn’t see anything, so if with LEDs I see at least a 10% improvement, then the LED would be an all-rounder. That's why I am planning to install LEDs with 6000K instead of 4300K, because I really don't see any use case for warm temperature lights.
@onesujeet You got some valid points there. I'm yet to experience a rainy day drive in my Exter. On a related note, is it legal to upgrade the light as you suggested? And will this cause any issues with warranty claims..? Please make a video once you change the lights.
