This oil is made up of alots of herbs which feels cool, and cures headaches. 😀
My guess is that the oil would result in the plastic bottle being too slippery to handle. Using the cardboard box as the barrier adds some grip. IDK. Just my guess. It could also be to keep it away from sunlight.
