- Remember to use a laptop with iTunes if download it's free.
Set up laptop and put it to for this purpose.
Always make sure you power them on once in a while. And check to see if there are icloud locked.
Sometimes the original owner might deactivate the apple products online because they got new ones.
All you to do is set it up as if we're a new ipad.
And please if you have any questions please feel free to ask me.

this process wont on all apple products but it get you to the right direction. some will get pass this.

I've done what you said on the video and I got to the point where there is a red circle with iTunes in it and a charger picture with an arrow pointing to the iTunes thing then you said that some thing should come up on the laptop but it didn't so would you be able to tell me or help me please.

Tom Overton I got stuck at the same exact point that you're talking about. So I and still 9 hours later in the process of downloading iTunes updates on the computer once that finishes I will try to resume and start the video from scratch as that restore message didn't come up on my computer either. Of course my computer was purchased in 2007. And the iPad is probably the same age. I have about 14 iPads and 7 iPhones that I could never ever use because they kept asking me for some kind of Apple ID and I could never figure it out so I just decided forget Apple all together and just go onto Android system I'm only clearing this iPad for my sister. Aside from that I will have absolutely nothing to do with Apple products because I could never ever reset my Apple password.

On my ipad says he was in dfu mode and restarted and to enter in dfu mode again to restore....when i renter says the same message.

this worked tremendously for my old ipad 3, it was completely locked and all tutorials ive watched did not give any great solutions but i followed this one to a T and it completely unlocked my ipad, but of course the downside is that the ipad is reset back to its original settings as new but thats fine as long as the ipad works. I got this message : This iPad was previously in DFU mode,but restared and is no longer in DFU mode.TO restore this iPad from DFU mode, disconnect it and place it in DFU mode again.

I am in the final step but it is taking too long it says preparing iPad for restore and it won't finish:( but hopefully it will work soon I have tried this method for a long time and it just takes to much time.
