    Hello my name is Travis Jantzer! I'm a vlogger from Oregon in the PNW. Online I go by TJantzer. My wife’s name is Cassie and our daughter born in spring of 2019 is named Hazel. If you watch our videos you’ll learn we love rock climbing (particularly bouldering), ultimate frisbee, road trips, diy projects, and drones. We converted a van to a camper for vanlife and take road trips when we have time. We play ultimate in the fall. Climb in the gym from fall to spring. Play Frisbee again in the spring. And play sand volleyball with our friends through the summer. I wrote a book and love writing poetry. Cassie loves watercolor painting and pencil sketching. We both enjoy cooking though she is way better at it. I started on TH-cam in 2011 but did not take it seriously until 2018 and even then I was inconsistent. In 2020 my resolution is to make one video every weekend and post it by Tuesday of that week. My passion is video editing. I started doing wedding videos last year and this year got a job shooting real estate photos and video. I still consider myself an amateur, but I’m learning something new with every video.
    My goals for 2020:
    1 video every week
    500 subscribers on TH-cam (Done! I'm pushing 1000 now! : )
    Subscribe to my channel to follow along. Comment below if you relate to anything you see, or have any questions.
    I’ll respond to as many comments as I see!
    You can find me on Instagram and Twitter with “TJantzer” and visit my website to see my writing and blog posts at TJantzer.com
    Thanks for stopping by!
    I’ll see you next week.

    That bucket is the right way to go. You could also use a galvanized tub or a trough. The possibilities are endless. Just use whatever fits with the landscape and is cheapest at hand. It's usually the reclaimed or "junk find" pieces that look the coolest.

      I agree. Recycling old product is the way to go.

    Thank you so much! This is very helpful I will let you know when I'm finished with it and I will send you a picture or a short video. I am so excited to get this working. Congratulations on your baby by the way. I just found out I'm going to be a Nana for the 2nd time.

    Fabulous. Love the look. Love the hand pump idea. Thinking about this one next to my greenhouse. Thanks for the info.

    Did one of these in a 1/2 whiskey barrel in 2014. Had an Amish guy ask me if it was a well.

    Thank you! I'm trying something similar with my mom's hand pump from the family farm 🤣

    I like this video. I have a pump like this one, but was planning to do the same, without the frame; instead, to use a whisky barrel.
    I would need a little stand for thr pump, right? Would that be better inside the barrel, or outside?
    Thank you.

    I love your videos! I have a vintage hand pump that was once used on the farm I grew up on. I'm a disabled senior living in San Diego wondering where you are located, if you're local. Would like to have you install a water feature for me. Thank you.

    Thank you. Exactly what I'm working on. I am wondering how you decided to choose a 500 gallon-per-hour pump, what size tubing and was it rigid or flexible, and how you threaded it or capped it in the hand water pump. My old hand pump looks very similar and has two feet of metal pipe attached. I was going to try mounting it through a semi-circle of plywood on top of a resin wine barrel planter I found at Lowe's. Any help designing this very much appreciated. Gary

    How would you do one on side of a 325 gallon pond?

    • @travisjantzer
      @travisjantzer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would need to find a way to stabilize it on some kind of platform near the edge. then just run a hose to it from a submersible pump. probably about 400-600 GPH

    How do we do the power? Bury extension cord (but not the plug)? I can’t figure out this part.

    • @travisjantzer
      @travisjantzer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on where its located. I have not yet had any problems with buried extension cords.

      @@travisjantzer great I was hoping you would say that. How do you keep the connections from getting rained on?

    • @travisjantzer
      @travisjantzer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can find insulated cord protectors at a hardware store or amazon. amzn.to/3vFaeMg

      @@pdxcontent One thing to consider, when burying cables, is to snake them so that if the ground moves, there is some slack to take up. I am planning this, drill into my garage. then either wire in a spur, or just rewire a plug on the other side of the wall.

    How did you run the tubing, mine seems to hit something

    • @travisjantzer
      @travisjantzer  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don’t recall.. I know these things have the plunger thing inside you may need to remove or drill through.

    • @travisjantzer
      @travisjantzer  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Or just run the tubing up the backside where it’s not seen? If that’s possible.
