His business is focused on hay and silage production and breeding co's livestock and milking. The business consists of 4.000 cows for milking and 2.500 heifers as substitute. On the other hand, the own around 1.300 hectares of irrigated land with double annual harvest. in summer, the crop is alfalfa and corn, in winter is triticale and barley.
He bought this machine to substitute the previous ont which had a working width of 6 meters, than the HR 8040 R is 8 meters. He appreciated the power harrow HR 8040 R, for its reliability and robustness, it allows high work output in all conditions and without interruption.
For increased longevity, KUHN power harrows are delivered as standard with tungsten carbide coated FAST-FIT DURAKUHN blades. These advantages reduce maintenance operations and breakdown risks. They never had breakdown, only usual costs of wearing and maintenance for a machine, which works around 1000 and 1500 hectares per year.
Another advantage of the power harrow is the working depth's adjustment, easy and done hydraulically. Moreover, there is a control box controlling the oil temperature of the main and seconds transmissions of the machine.
FAST-FIT DURAKUHN tines as standard
These power harrows are equipped with carbide-coated DURAKUHN tines, as standard, for extra resistance to impacts and wear. For an even longer life, DURAKARB tines, with tungsten carbide plates, are available as an option. The FAST-FIT attachment system reduces replacement time to a minimum. The angle of the levelling bar has three positions for precise adjustment of crumbling:
close to the rotors for intensive work in very heavy soils, tilted to the rear for light seedbed preparation.
