The "ACE COMBAT Original Aircraft Official Commentary" is a special project that invites actual experts on the fictional fighter aircraft and weapons that appear in the ACE COMBAT series to reveal the details of the settings in comparison with reality.
In Commentary #5, foresaw the future?! the guests will discuss the ASF-X Shinden Ⅱ, experimental aircraft with vertical takeoff and landing capability for the first time in ACE COMBAT series.

エスコン開発チームの先見の明というか先を見据えてコンセプトを立てて行くのがすごいよね。
ACAHの曲神曲が多い。最後にDark Blue流すのいいなぁ…ことの終わり感が最高。
この機体の「実在しそう感」良いよね…
河森氏へのリスペクトも込みで、竹内先生文句なしのアリ！

Also since that was the last episode, I guess we're not seeing a video on the original Ace Combat superplane, the XFA-27 once again gets overlooked...
Taiga ASF-X Shinden II (in the name and history of the company there are references to Fuji Heavy Industries, currently Subaru Group, producer of the legendary Impreza WRX STi) is all the more unusual that it could have a chance to be implemented, but as I mentioned in your test about him that it took many years to work out the details. Therefore, a similar aircraft with V/STOL properties - Lockheed Martin F-35B Lightning II - will go to Japan.
I have a vision regarding the last update to Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown after the release of "eight".
Xanonically, Fenrir is made in 2020 (that was thr year of rhe Aurelian-Leasath war) so Shinden II is "technically" the first fictional VTOL aircraft?
@@lonemarkkingoftypos3722 These videos are from a development and design perspective, not a lore one (Because the Shinden II has zero Strangereal lore so far), ACX just gets forgotten, as it often does, because they want to hype the Shinden II to sell more model kits of it.
@@MrLemmy82 tbf, if they did sell its model kits, alot of AC fans would buy it (i would too if i had spare money) as some way of "supporting" the game and Project Aces. Aswell as an anticipation for thr next installment.
開発経緯にあるように紅茶面決めたようなエンジン配列が面白い
インフィニティで失速しても機首を水平にできて90km/hくらいで降下しながら前進できる機能が面白かったなぁ。
確かAV-8、F-35B、フェンリアも出来たと思う。
「出来たからなんや？」って機能だったし、ノズルが稼働する訳でもなかったけどフリーフライトで遊んでた。
7で垂直着陸モドキが出来なくなってたのはちょっと残念。
次回作はVTOL機能再現してほしい。
首都攻略戦でワシントンマップだと敵拠点が母艦だったから、ホバーASMでロケポ撃ちまくってたな

今作のDLCでストレンジリアルにも存在する事が確定したけど、灯台戦争ではノースポイント辺りに配備されてたのだろうか。VTOL母艦は開幕の無人機攻撃で狙われただろうし
今度は巨大超兵器もやってほしいが、次回作エースコンバット8のPV告知はやって欲しい
ASF-Xも次回作エースコンバット8に出してほしい。
ASF-Xといえば、エースコンバットイカロス・イン・ザ・スカイというライトノベルも面白かった。誤字があったりするけど、インフィニティの蝶使いに通じる衛星軌道からのドローン操作とかあった。

最新のモックアップはラムダ翼からデルタ翼に変わりましたね
ほとんど初めてでてきた架空機ではないのに時代が追いついた部分もあるのはほんとに考えられた機体なのだと改めて感じました。

締めでエスコン7の曲使うのは、さすが公式、わかってるって感じたわw
一番好きな架空機で、ムックもプラモ(2種)も持ってますけど、さすがに可動部多いし、英国面だし Xかな～と思ったけど 〇ありがとうございます 凄い興味深くて楽しかったです。最終回と言わず ｱｰｸﾊﾞｰﾄﾞやｸﾞﾚｲﾌﾟﾆﾙとかの超兵器も含めて、全部やってください
全体的にはかなり奇抜な形状だと思うのですが、ダイバータレス超音速インレットを備えている所などは今までのエスコンには無かった新しい要素かなと思います
また、同じような機会があれば
ヴィルコラクやADF-11Fもやって欲しい…

Something to note, the stacked twin engine design has been used IRL, most famously by the English Electric Lightning, which was a interceptor that rivaled the F-104 Starfighter

Yeah here is a point to consider
If the British had not suffered the issues they did, the English Electric Lightning could have been equipped with 2 Rolls-Royce RB.106R Thames which would give it 30,000ibf dry thrust and 41,500ibf Reheat
The problem is for English Electric would be if Rolls-Royce continued with the RB.106 and not the Avon then the Lightning will not other option to take 2 Thames engines because the design is too far along to be redesigned so all English Electric could do prior to production is to reinforce the airframe to handle the massive thrust

Kawamori is always strangely prophetic with his mergers/joint development. You can see that with some of his earlier speculative mergers in Macross as well.

If we compare F-35B with ASF-X, yes the ASF-X will win in almost every aspect easily due to its Spesification and Ability

The Shinden II is kind of blursed to my eyes, personally, I'm not a fan of the vertical engine stacking nor the variable airframe. I love the concept though and how forward thinking it was considering the forthcoming 6th generation design.
The Fenrir, XFA-27, ADF-11 or even the Underrated XFA-24 Apalis would've been cool to see in this series. Ah well, Project Aces, ありがとーございました。
縦置き双発エンジンはどちらかが故障しても(重心が変わらず)安定する。前進主翼も空母以外でも短い滑走路の空港でも使える。

I own the masterfile shinden ii and I do like the lore That I could gleam despite not being able to read it. So it's nice to see some of it in this.

ハセガワから1/72のキットは出てるけど1/144は個人のガレージキットでしか出てないから、コトブキヤに期待したいけど難しいかな。
After watching this series and the recent development of warfare... I think AC3 is the most accurate game so far... Tele-existence and IN-SAT-NET technologies would play a huge role in modern warfare. Perhaps Project ACES doesn't think that high about AC3, but AC3 is quite close to what modern warfare is all about. Operating aircraft from far away without real pilots involved into actual combat.
I could even say that F/A-32C Erne would be pretty close to the new JASDF combatant design. The F/A-32C was a Twin Engine Design, just stacked pretty close together...
I would have loved to have heard the take on the Fregata. That quad engine design is gorgeous.

When the best plane in our galaxy the XFA-27 ?
The whole design definitely looks podsible, though the most concerning part are those bending/moving wingtips/stabilizers. As that will be a nightmare for the maintenance crew (especially since it moves as the plane reach certain speeds.
2040年代のエスコン3というかニューコムな世界はあり得ると思うんで、X-49とかR-331とかもっと前の時代に考案の機体なのにどれだけ先見の明があったのか掘り下げてみてほしい
I'm kind of surprised Kawamori got a pass - I always thought the wingtips and tail swivel mechanisms were unrealistic, but perhaps that's not the case.
Then again, given what his other designs usually do, maybe this was tame by comparison.
Its possible, but a nightmare for rhe maintenance crew and budget.
Cosnidering his "usual designs" are space-grade fighters with thermonuclear engines capable of turning into robots... yeah, the Shinden is very tame!

Mój drugi ulubiony fikcyjny samolot, zaraz za Morganem. Bardzo dobrze gra się nim w multiplayerze. Kawamori zrobił bardzo dobry projekt, godny Macrossa Plus

Потрясающе. Я знаю что такое J7N1 Shinden и концепт новейшего самолёта, который создавали как оммаж, выглядит прекрасно.

It'd be nice if Namco added something of substance to the game. Every other developer is making real DLC content for their successful games. But Namco just releases skins and planes for Ace Combat 7 for 5 years. 😔

Hey, i really appreciate all the cool extra stories, but the audio design is lacking, in my opinion. The music choice is very aggressive, it is too loud, and the interviewees microphones cannot compete with the BGM. It makes listening difficult, even though the music is very good!

I'm gonna miss these. I hope Ace Combat 8 will be as good as the PS2 trilogy and 6. 7 was ok, but it lacked in the story department and the gameplay was a little off compared to the PS2 games or 6.
The TLS getting nerfed was sad, it barely scratches ships now when it used to destroy them quickly.
Multiplayer needs more modes like capture the flag, domination, or even a racing mode. Co-op campaign would be interesting to see too.

主翼端や尾翼の反角が変わるのも、それが実際稼動する場面も、
まったく有用性や現実性が示されていないのが残念ですね。
離陸時にわざわざ主翼を折り曲げて翼面積を狭くするなどナンセンスが過ぎる。
主翼端の変形が効いてくるのは超音速領域の話しで、
あとは巡航時のドラッグ減少に若干(ウィングレット的な)意味があるか程度でしょう。
