WOW a Ferrari GT3 from Sideways 👏👏👏 dreams do come true & the Mustang GT3 coming as well , what an awesome time to be in our great hobby , thankyou Dave love your news & enthusiasm & yes slot car's are toys the same as RC cars , planes & what ever but so what I love my slot car's & this hobby we connect with people all over the world & how awesome is it , take care Dave & stay safe mate 👍👏
Hi Dave. Thanx for talking about Carrera and making it straight, that they are toys. They are categorized ever since, here in Germany as such. Mainly because we don`t have a word for slotcars. We call them Rennbahn (Racetrack), or Carrera-Bahn (Carrera-Track). Everyone knows that here and I had a lot of discussions in our community, to clear that out. But some are just stubborn and won`t accept that fact. In terms of the higher prices, one should not forget, that the Huthi rebels are attacking all vessels, which are heading through the Red Sea and the Suez-Channel. Therefore, many vessels do the longer route around South-Africa. That made the cost explode for a single Container. The price was 1K US$ for a single Container, but exploded up to 5K US$, due to take a longer route. Many forget, or won`t see that. In terms of the Jägermeister Digital VW T2 bus I was wrong the other day, mentioning, they were out here for some months. The Evolution Bus was out for quite some weeks here and the Digital bus will appear in a few days here. The M1 Jägermeister was in fact out for several months here. Both scales 132 and 124. What I never liked about the 132 M1`s is, that they are very loud runners, which had been also critized in the Carrera Club among members, as well as in forums over here. But never the less. it is a fast little rascal. No doubt! See you soon again and greets over to you! :-)
Cheers Dave. Not sure what i enjoy most. The News or your Editorials / thoughts on certain subjects. Great to hear others thoughts on different subjects.
Thanks! I just tore my track down and rebuilt it as a simpler flatter track but still taking up all the room I have. Can see the cars all the way around now. Placed an order with LEB for small parts, I'm determined to make my Slot it cars work better. NSR parts. On a 14.5 ' by 7.5' track base, A good running carrera car goes fast enough. Although the Slot its are fun. They need a big club track to fly one.
Thanks, Dave as always good news. Carrera is probably the most bulletproof car that I have ever owned. I’ve been in this hobby for over 20 years in the 1/32 size and you can’t beat the bang for the buck with Carrera cars. Thanks for the rant
Thanks for the news Dave, you are my goto for news every Friday/Saturday. I'd be interested in your feelings on your Scaleauto track in comparison to the Policar track if possible now that youve had it down for a while?
Dead center Dave! Just wondering if anybody will ever re-make some of the old AFX cars from the late 60s. It would be great if I could race my old Datson 240z #46, or black & white Challenger #11, or Roaring Royce #1923. That was when I got hooked on the hobby in the basement of my childhood home…. I wish the BRM Datson 240z was a little less expensive, or maybe it would come in 1:32 scale.
Hi Dave. What are your thoughts on ho slot cars? You rarely mention them. Are they looked down on by the larger scale racers? Maybe do a show on your thoughts about the pros and cons of each scale. I like giving slot car sets as Christmas gifts, but I always give ho. Would a larger scale offer greater play value? I like that I can gift someone $22 and they can buy a car of their choice. Seems more kid friendly. Plus ho can be set up and taken down within most homes. How did you switch over to the larger scales, or did you begin with a larger scale? Thank you for sharing.
I miss the time and space to enjoy this hobby. However, the price of cars, track, and parts has put me out of it for quite a while. Pre-covid and during covid really made this hobby fun as we were mostly idle or stuck at home. Now, prices are about double for cars, whether analog or digital. And with Scalextric raising prices for cars that are still not as nice or well made as Carrera. I can't say I'm abandoning the hobby but I am done spending money on it. I do enjoy your videos Dave.
Hey there , I was just watching your video and I noticed a slight buzz in the audio , you should try a ground lift , that might solve the problem GREAT WORK keep it up
No - World Manufacturers Championship and British Sports car races for the Sid Taylor car - the AIR car was from Sebring. Sid Taylor did run Denny in the Can Am in a Lola T-70 spyder ..
Thanx Dave…. Always an enjoyable time spent watching/listening.

@@garymtruehart9977 yes I did hear that at the end mostly. I’m going to work on that thanks!!!!
The white T70 with green stripes was a Sid Taylor owned car, think it was driven by Denny Hulme, European races , don't think it ran in can am .
No - World Manufacturers Championship and British Sports car races for the Sid Taylor car - the AIR car was from Sebring. Sid Taylor did run Denny in the Can Am in a Lola T-70 spyder ..
Very cool - but not Group 2 - they are Group 5 with the mods indicated...
Group 5 Escort 😉
