All of the passenger safety protocols go right out the window when lines like Carnival have drink packages on 3-4 day cruises. The fights and rumbles on Carnival have become legend in the industry. In fact, a great marketing ploy would be to sell tickets to one of these events and televise them in the Vegas Gambling Parlors. I also question the stability of some of the mega ships in rough weather. When you have 180 feet above the water line and only 30 below managing a ship's exposure to bad weather is paramount. Many have so much "sail area" that in high winds they break away from moorings with frightening ease.
Selling tickets to cruise brawls? Now that’s a reality show I’d tune into! Just imagine the commentary: "And here comes Captain Chaos with a left hook!"
Do you think cruise ships are safe?

Cruise ships are perfectly safe if you're not stupid.
Absolutely! Just common sense goes a long way when you're out at sea.
