You can get the abortion skip by using the protection route. Alternatively there's the federal ban on abortion meta, but it takes slightly longer because of the child support side plot.
These types of challenges work out for everyone, the speed runners get the cash for their hard work and time, which they normally don’t get, it makes it interesting and more competitive, and Charlie gets to make content about it

Reason why withholding strats is a bad idea is when you make yourself the central pillar of new shit in a speedrun, people come to tell you about their new tech and work with you to develop new tech. Trust me, I've participated in similar speedrun challenge ran by a lesser known game dev, and one single player will never develop strats on their own that can compete with a networked community of runners, unless they're insane, and can see in code.
Thing is, if you have a set date, people *will* strat hide, 10k is life changing money so you should understand why people would do that, if you don't want it to happen, don't have a set date, make it a secret date and don't reveal it.

One reasonable solution is that all strats need to be approved for the run to count. Every strat would be approved at some point except in the final days. so the last lets say 3 days would only be for refining already approved strats
super skip was debunked. the game works on a prerequisite system so you need to actually get to the end to get credits. someone was able to replicate it and the game always crashes
Disagree with not being aloud to hide strats. It’s a competition. That’s like saying the winner of the super bowl doesn’t count because they didn’t give the other team all of their plays in advance. But it is his money, so his rules I guess.

I think if someone just plays by themselfs and doesn't look anything up but figures out a way to beat the game the quickest, they 100% deserve it.
It could be a good idea to have no runs be valid until after 2 weeks. Then have a 24hr race when the runners all know most of the main strats. Could be a great way to artificially create an exciting finish.

I don't agree with the extension stuff. Why even bother running until the last few days then? Having a winning time only to have the time extended cuz of this arbitrary "community" angle is lame. If a person found a good skip, they shouldn't be punished for not divulging it. If anything the potential extensions would incentivise me to not even try until the last week if I actually wanted the prize, cuz I'd bet that's the reason why half are even doing it
Ultimately this whole “no strat hiding” is just a way for Charlie to give the reward to whoever he likes. It’s not speedrunning if you don’t get to keep your strats secret until shown on the leaderboard.
