This match is like the perfect exemplification of why Pyra/Mythra feel like such shitty characters even know we know how good they are. Mythra is so linear that once she hits you past 80% you can spend the rest of the match baiting whiffs until she dies. Pyra is so slow and lacking in consistent burst options that she becomes dependent on hard reads. Then you slap their genuinely *miserable* recoveries together and suddenly you have these characters who logically are the biggest threat in the game just...not being that randomly. I think I'm able to forgive Pyra and Mythra as much as I do because they feel like Smash finally has a decently designed glass cannon. Glass Cannon type characters are supposed to have overwhelming advantages at the expense of having really volatile weaknesses. Big D really exploited that here, and good on him for it, because even though Cosmos could have etched out the win if he had kept his cool, I also feel like he would have done better as a different character. Pyra and Mythra being so simple is going to be their downfall and I am ok with that because I'm sick of Smash games where their best characters have the uncontested best options in almost every scenario.

Foresight might've been crucial in the icies MU but their side b is one of the few multi hits that cannot be bufferd OoS with foresight, or at the very least it's very inconsistent Also what were those random fsmashes

There is a small hand full of competitive maps, after a match winner will ban a few maps and loser will choose. Every character performs slightly differently depending on the map, it’s why characters like captain falcon will choose omega/final destination a lot. Which is also why Big D and Cosmos were banning the same stages, both of them have a slight disadvantage on those 3 stages. the reason you see Pokémon stadium so much is because it’s kind of good for every character, that’s why even if someone doesn’t know what map to pick they’ll default to Pokémon stadium (even though at this level they definitely know what stages they want).
Mythra vs Sopo is literally a top 10 character vs the worst character in the game and Big D made it look almost even. Big D was on a different level than Cosmos this set.
It's not only a massive tier difference, this match-up should be -3 or worse for icies. Big D was on fire but Cosmos's bed is one massive brown stain after how hard he shit it this set. They had him on suicide watch game 3 cause that be some career ending embarrassment to get 3-0'd by the hardest low tier while playing the easiest top tier. GOD DAMN!
