Important: If you buy, order the 2nd ssd bracket to install a second drive. I hear it is harder to get outside of North America. It is a gaming laptop; it should have included a ssd bracket from the factory. Also be aware the usb-c port is USB3 gen1 5Gbps, instead of gen2 10Gbps or USB4 20 or 40 Gbps. This is also an odd cost cutting measure. A larger 90wh battery could fit but would block the 2nd ssd slot. I have an older same chassis model with 90wh and gen2 usb-c, and keyboard paint wears off. I can't comment on hinges as mine is one of few variants with a different metal lid on this chassis.
I see this priced at $1399 CDN or more. $800 or $899 Canadian would be good value. For $1400 Canadian I'd get a system with USB3 _gen2_ or USB4, no usb2 port only usb3 ports, an RTX4060 / RX 7600s, and about 100%rgb.

So, I bought the Bravo 15 D, I believe it's the 2020 model and I have had no issues with the hinges so far and I have had it since 2021 and the only issue I ran into was that one of the fans wasn't working, brought it to a friend who knew more about computers than I do and it turns out they didn't plug the fan in or if they did it got unplugged at some point in shipping between facilities
You forgot the best part of MSI laptops. The open advanced bios. This can let you do the IMON tweak, leading the CPU and GPU to use their max TDP's even if both are loaded. It can also let you potentially undervolt locked CPU's like the i7 12650h via the AC loadline tweak. I did these tweaks in my nitro 5. In CP2077 my 3070ti used to struggle to pull more than 125w when the CPU was fully loaded. And the CPU struggled to use more than 40-45w and barely clock to 3.1ghz. Now, my 3070ti can clock to 1725 to 1740mhz, up from 1525 to 1600mhz and use the full 150w. My i7 12650h uses around 50-60w while holding 3.8 to 4.1ghz. My FPS got a nice boost too and its a lot more stable. All because I was able to access advanced bios. Also, would like it if you raised the laptop since there's cheap, metal feet with built in stands you can buy for laptops to glue them to the base of the laptop and raise them by a good 1-2'. This can lower temps by a good amount, sometimes by 10 degrees since the laptop can suck in more air. I did it to my nitro 5. Works wonderfully. And can you do some testing with undervolting and overclocking the GPU? And show us the GPU and CPU clocks in games. Also, the 6gb of vram isn't that great in 2024 considering 8gb is the minimum to run games comfortably at 1080p. Realistically the 4050 should've been a 128bit 8gb gpu. 3050 6gb also got a 6gb updated refresh.
TBH the touchpad is the biggest issue, it is quite sticky for my liking but i barely use it ,and the screen colors are not that good if you are into editing. For gaming though its a beast just make sure to buy a cooling pad for max performance.

So I'm currently testing a Asus g713rc it has a ryzen 7 6800hs, and a rtx 3050 4gb vram 16gb memory, and 512gb ssd. I get somewhat good performance in fortnite i have epic settings on for view, textures, and something else..everything else is off and it's hitting about 160 to 200fps depending on the part of the map I'm on. I'm waiting on a msi bravo 15 Ryzen 9 7940hs, with a rtx 4060 8gb vram with 1tb ssd 144hz screen etc. The asus g713rc looks so dam good, like the rgb strip on the bottom. The pain splatter on the left side under the screen 17.3 inch screen, asus symbol lights up in the back. Loud speakers which is hard to find on laptops. In all the asus looks esthetically pleasing compared to the msi. But performance wise I believe the msi is better. What should I do? 😆 Send the asus back, and keep the msi when it comes or cancel the msi order and keep the asus?
