    Great
    Skoda got a transformation training for free.
    And directly from you being so close to us and being a customer yourself.
    No Consultant could do a better job and would charge €€€€€€€.
    Maybe other OEMs listen also.
    They even might learn faster.

    I truly hope they were both listening and receptive, but also have the ability/freedom to make some of these improvements together with, or independently of VAG.

    Great talk, really impressed that you got so long time to speak at the board. As you say, no update will come tomorrow, or next month that would fix anything. But just perhaps, this will plant a small seed in the mind of some of the board members, that could steer them in (new?) direction towards a more digital approach in car manufacturing.

    Hi I'm in the age of 66, I'm living in Norway. I think you hit the nail with your presentation. I was one of the costumes purchaseing 'Ambient lightning ' and felt like a fool afterwards.
    Skoda this is my recommendation. Start to fix your faults!
    Since the purchase of my second enyaq, I hoped it will give a car ready for the road with less pain. But 😢
    The Skoda dealer ( Møller Bil) have not even afte 6 months reached out with a solution for the electric passenger seat. And I complain about it when I was handed my new car in mars 2024

    Brilliant presentation! Thank you. However, I already decided not to buy Skoda due mainly to software. There being no simple short-cuts to switching off annoying features that only work on a motorway. About 90% of my driving is on local roads which have no or inconsistent markings. I bought an Ioniq 5 which has simple methods to disable these features and has similar space. Thank you again for your skill in presenting the customers' viewpoint.

    Good Impulses, charging is important for Long distance traveling. For commuters the ease of use of the Entertainment System is Just Missing. I would appreciate also to emphasize this. Clear menu integrating web and Radio Channels in one integrated solution ist required. Thanks Chris

      It's hard to fit everything into 30 minutes so I had to make tough choices. There are way more journey we need to talk about but I think this might be only the beginning and we can dig into other (like entertainment) as well

I still think they make a problem for themselves by using a new version number when they change hardware. 5.2 looks identical to 4.0 and has the same functionality. If they kept the public facing number the same they would get a lot less complaining. Still, we have all done what we can, you especially! ​@electrifiedspeicher

    Absolutely fantastic presentation, Mathias! It hits the nail on the head. I have been a happy Danish Enyaq owner since June 2021, but I have also been through the entire range of emotions with Skoda due to the lack of communication and the primitive software which only barely survives basic tasks without exciting anyone. I've seen most of your videos, but this presentation to Skoda's board is the best post I've seen to date because it's both honest feedback to the people behind the Enyaq - and most importantly: contains a number of possible solutions to restore customers' trust in Skoda. I hope they listened with action in mind. Bravo Mathias! And thank you 🙏🏻

    You hit every nail, right on the head!! Excellent presentation. Please keep us updated with follow up videos if Skoda gives feedback of if/how/when they are going to tackle these massive software problems. As you mentioned, it may not happen at all but we can only hope. You are our best/only hope of getting the message across to VW/Skoda.
    The Enyaq may be a best-seller, but at this rate it'll be the last VW-group car that customers buy. If things don't change I will never recommend to any of my friends/family to enter the EV journey with a VW-group car.

    Kudos to you!! Perfect presentation Matthias. Well done! In fact you told the board a real life story that I have experienced numerous times on all the ‘jobs’ you mentioned. Your classification of Skoda being a traditional but old fashioned car manufacturer is exactly right 24:27 Pressing the point on the many first time Enyaq owners growing disappointed is spot on also. I’m one of those, driving my third and last Skoda. Why? VAG is a big tanker in heavy seas. The weather will not improve anytime soon. Skoda will suffer from this also as it depends on Cariad for the software. THAT is Skoda’s major weak point.

      Thanks for your kind words and your feedback. Skodas dependency on VW and Cariad is a real pain they cannot solve. But we do not know how much freedom they have to adjust things in the car. Now they can prove how far they are able (and willing) to go

    I've always had VW/Audi/SKODA. My last car was a Superb IV and loved it.
    The app was dreadful and there was always issues with infotainment, Sat Nav etc but the driving experience was very good and the car was very practical.
    I picked up my 2024 Enyaq coupe 85x two weeks ago. It has the Max pack as an extra. It drives really well and when I watched your presentaion, I agree with everything you said
    There's no excuse for their software being so inconsistent, slow and annoying. Could be worse - I could have a VW ID
    Hopefully they will have listened and take action

    What a great initiative. Looking forward to you new videos. As a new owner of Enyaq Coupe 85x with sw 4.1 I wonder if or when we would get update to sw 5 that is being installed to the newly built Enyaq MY 2025. In any case, current state of sw is way better that I had in my ID3 fist edition. However, pressing OK every time I start the car is mighty annoying and yes, I deactivated the comfort entry seat adjustments 😂

    The content of the presentation was spot on. Skoda's management certainly knew most of the examples you told, but the story supported the message well. As you yourself said, Skoda's hands in software matters are largely tied to VW's (Cariad) decisions. Therefore, this same presentation should actually be held for the management of VW. On the other hand, the situation may not be as bad in the big picture as you let it be understood. The faults you brought up are real, but because most of Skoda's customers are switching from combustion engine cars to electric cars. They don't even know how to wish for / use all the functionality that an electric car could offer. Of course, if you compare it to Tesla, the VW group's software is clunky and lacking in features. Fortunately, the buyer of a new Enyaq very often does not even realize how to compare the software with Tesla's software. 👍

    Fascinating presentation. All the of the software problems you describe make me happy that I purchased a base version with no options which depend on software.
    No clever tailgate, no heads up display, no heated electric seats, I don't drive long distances, don't use adaptive cruise control after experience with the accuracy of speed limits in a colleague's BMW (showing 70mph in a 30mph area), so no problems.
    They also need to understand their markets better.
    I'm an Australian living in the UK and I'm concerned that any car manufacturer is releasing a car with a panoramic sunroof and no blind, in Australia, a country where its not unusual for the temperature outside to hit 40°c. There's a reason that very few drivers in Australia drive open top cars.
    What were Skoda thinking?
    With dealerships, why hasn't the dealership network been notified of the need for the "fuse 3" fix for delayed charging issues?
    WRT selling software, I'd pay for battery preheating in my 2022 Enyaq and faster DC charging, even though I don't DC charge very often.

    Dear Matthias, very nice presentation which greatly visualize the user experience of the Enyaq driver. I am currently driving the 1st generation after driven VAG cars for 2 decades. Customer care has been the weak spot and I chose the VAG car for the driving comfort and practicality. Basically traditional automotive items. Unfortunately due to the fact that due to the importance of software in EV driving. the Enyaq is not doing its job to my satisfaction. For small trips its fine despite the flaws with the app. For long-distance trip it is indeed different story. I will be driving this Enyaq for another year, however I am at the moment considering to switch to Tesla Model Y Juniper next year. After driving the Enyaq (first EV) for 3 years now I came to conclusion that for EV driving the most important feature is modern software out of the traditional automotive. Allthough Tesla is nothing like traditional automotive they have developed the comfort of driving to such extent (Model 3 highland) that it will no longer be a reason for me to stay at Skoda. When I have to pick a card next year, Tesla will win on "first", "best" and "price". Skoda is at moment unfortunately "different"in to many negative ways. Without copying others they indeed mostly missed "charge planning" and "charging experience", a topic which is mastered by Tesla from the beginning (off course mostly due their own network). However in this they are still many ways to be "different" by your given examples (AI charge planning incl. pricing). Problem is that their are tied to the Volkswagen cargo vessel to change their course easily.
    I am working for a service company in maritime and they have put digitilazation as one of their main strategic goals for growth. In order to get to this goal they have recently acquired other companies who are experts in these topics. This is something they should consider as well concluding their existing expertize (Cariad) is not delivering what is needed.

    Great presentation! 👍 It would have been interesting to hear how the committee responded to this presentation, too bad they kicked you out(??). Also I'm wondering how much leverage Skoda really has on the Cariad software development operation, if they are developing sw for all the VAG brands and platforms. Some of the group's other brands might have higher priority or more sw dev capacity at Cariad than Skoda, or they might preferably want to keep the sw platform closely similar between the brands (as now between VW, Skoda, Cupra, even Ford infotainments), and not "personalize" the sw too much between brands (more variants, more maintenance effort)

    Great presentation.. Well, I have visited the dealership atleast about 15 times for various issues and warnings, including suspension issues, after I got the Enyaq in 2022. When the dealership fixed one issue, something else broke and issues were constantly fixed, and refixed. A digital issue still exists after the dealership updated software to version 3.2. an year ago,leading to my infotainment services going away too. The app shows completely incorrect mileage and battery percentage. I am appalled by the quality of the car, below par experience from dealership, inability and lack of support from the customer service who merely keep closing my tickets by simply saying talk to the dealership, or talk to digital...We can't help you... Default answer every time.... Nobody listens. Never ever will I buy another SKODA in my life.

      That is totally understandable after such an experience. Dealers are often not able to deliver what their customers need when it comes to the ENYAQ

    Another example for failure of business model is the in car purchase of features. Leasing the Enyaq for 2 years it makes no sense whatsoever to buy the ACC unlock for the full price. I would have rented the feature for that timeframe, but it simply is not possible - why?

    Hey hey Matthias. What an opportunity to speak at Skoda, congratulations. I believe this is a big achievement that shows that your time invested was not in vain. What I do fear is that Skoda (or VW for that matter) will not do much because, for example, "coldgate" topic is out there for more than 2 years and SW has not changed despite the fact that they know about this issue. Also, I'm sure they heard about some of the issues you spoke about already but again they decided to ignore the issues at hand and not do anything. Enyaq, in my opinion, has the potential to be a great car but Skoda's lack of investment in the SW makes is... well, we know what we have, especialy the ones that have ME3.x based Enyaq. Just as a sad fact, I still haven't received the ME 3.7 update even though it is out since May... Sometimes I do wonder are they really so ignorant and self-centred or what...
    Anyhow, thanks for all what you do for the Enyaq-users community, you are sending the message out, I do hope someone will start doing something about the issues and not just putting them under the rug... Greetings from Slovenia

      Surely the 3.7 software update should be automatically installed by the dealer when you book your car in? That's my understanding anyway. 🤔

    By the way, driving mode is also not saved in my Karoq, because of EU regulations.

      I know but they could start the car in normal mode as the EU wants them to do and when switching to a user profile also switch to the right driving mode afterwards :)

      @@electrifiedspeicher True. I asked that before, but unfortunately that was not allowed. Changing driving mode has to be a manual action. Welcome to the EU.... Even though 🇨🇭 is not in the EU 🥴. We tried to see if we could set it via obd, but unfortunately. Another thing which should be default is lights at the back when using daylight. Fortunately this could be changed, but why not default. It's so much safer. I really loved how lots of issues you addressed are totally understandable. I will check the Elroq with your list as soon as I can do a test drive.

    29:16 Camp/Pet mode would be a "quick win" though...I tried to record a charging session and all of a sudden the Enyaq shut down after 30 min (yes it was cold and charge speed only 2/3 😬), disrupting my recordings. Or I had to wait in the car and listened to music and after 30 min. it just shut down and you cannot even use the steering wheel buttons for music anymore...all while sitting in the driver seat. -> Virtual facepalm!
    I don't even know if the app-preheating function can switch on the AC when you have switched it off completely in the car. Likewise, pressing the AC button in this case does not switch on the climate, you only get an error message about temporarily not available function. This is all confusing behaviour (sw 3.7) and a "pain".

      Thanks for your feedback. There are a lot quick wins but that might distract them from what most people would love to get solved and they would not get the feedback they hoped for

      The trouble with Quick Wins is that manufacturers end up focusing on them all and trying to integrate extra features into an already broken or breaking system, effectively making the whole user experience much, much worse. If they focus on fixing the foundation, making it more reliable and usable, they set themselves up perfectly to knock it out of the park with additional features afterwards.

      @@AdamAugustPhoto An adjustable timeframe would not be complex at all (imho) and fix that basic flaw/annoyance, we don't talk about additional features here, just basics.
