Fwiw the eye mini lite launched at $2100 for pre buyers. Inflation drove up the cost. Considering its limitations and requirements on 3rd party hardware to make it functional , sub $2000 is an appropriate long term price.
Thanks for the eye mini lite update!! I have been waiting to pull the trigger on a new launch monitor and the lite at this price just fit my budget. Upgrading from the R10 and cannot wait!!
Almost pulled the trigger. But decided to wait because I'm taking the winter off to heal a tendon in my wrist. And didnt want to tempt myself into swinging a clib too early. Think we'll see these prices again before April? That's when I'm planning to start building out my sim space.
They might do some promotions for the pga show in January. I doubt they will be priced as good as they were though. I’m just speculating though, I have no idea.
Hi! First i love your videos, extremely informative and helpful. I just purchased the Eye mini Lite after watching all your reviews and recommendations! I had a few quick questions about your current setup, if you dont mind me asking. Your space looks similar to what i am working with. What is the width of your enclosure? How far to do you hit from the screen? and lastly, how far is the wall behind you from where you normally hit the ball?
Thank you! It’s the SIG 10 friendlygolfer.com/recommends/sig-enclosures/ so it’s a little over 10ft wide which fits in my 12ft wide space. I hit from about 11.5ft to the screen which is a little long. Most people are probably around 10ft from screen. I don’t have a wall behind me, it’s the rest of my garage where I park my golf cart. Hope that helps!
I agree with the others that the EML unit is primed for a price reduction after the holidays. Lots of companies - especially in the computer / electronics space - use Black Friday to effect price changes that are planned for coming year or to clear out models getting an update at CES.
This could be the first salvo in a possible price war to generate some lagging sales this year with a number of simulator companies and launch monitors as well
Informational question for you or the other informed folks here: eye mini lite sounds very intriguing. sounds like you don’t need a gaming computer but may be able to use an iPad and the view app to run with the eye mini lite? Do I have that correctly? If so, Are there any other launch monitors out there besides this and the skytrak+ that can run off an iPad alone?
No, EML does not have WiFi and must be connected to a PC via Ethernet so it can’t run on an iPad. The regular Eye Mini has WiFi and can use the VIEW Air app on an iPad. SKYTRAK+ and Mevo+ can run their apps on iPad. BLP/GC3 can use their FSX Pro app on an iPad also.
@@friendly_golfer thank you. Really appreciate the clarification. This seems a big selling point for Sktrak+ at its price point for those in the apple ecosystem, especially now with course play straight from their platform. I realize the graphics quality may not be on par with gspro but at the entry price point and the ability to not buy a gaming computer that graphic sacrifice does come with a significant dollar savings.
@@underdog3380from Amazon amzn.to/3AUK2mb But if I were to do it again I would have bought the version with double fans instead of the single. I’m worried about it in the summer. So far no problems.
I'm debating on getting the xo2 to upgrade from my eye mini. Do I need it? Probably not, but I would just love to have the extra clubhead data and being able to allow left or righties to play.
@friendly_golfer it could, but I'm interested in the hitting zone xo2 offers. It's massive! 28x21. One thing I've noticed with my eye mini and putting off of the hitting strip is that it's very lumpy since it's a hitting area. Id much rather putt to the side where it's nice and smooth. I'm also interested in the trouble mats for rough and bunker but that's not entirely necessary. I heard the game day software integrates it
I am thinking of getting the. Swing optics cameras during this sale. Dumb question how do the cameras connect. From what I have found they connect to the PC only? Any help is appreciated as I’d like to understand before I buy them. Thanks Bobby.
They connect via included usb cables to your pc and you use with Uneekor View software. The view software is for PC. I don’t think there’s any other way to use them.
Just bought a Mini Lite. Already have the QED but I wanna use non marked balls and I already own TGC and CG3D and GSPRO for UNEEKOR. Hopefully I can sell the QED and be able to buy E6 Apex and break even
Debating between the EML ans Mevo+. Room width constraints will force me to have lefties and righties hiting offset of center. How much of a pain would moving the EML back and forth for each type of hitter?
I have a Mevo+ with pro package that I'm considering selling so I can get the EML. Space in my garage is a bit tight, so having the EML next to the hitting area, as opposed to the Mevo+ 6-7 ft behind me, is definitely a plus for me.
I got the garmin r50 and it's great. works perfectly for my set up having 40000 courses for 100 bucks a year was nice but I didn't have gspro or anything else before hand so it was good for me. I've played e6 and and trackman 4 courses and I think the new version of hth Is excellent
I was hoping the Eye Mini would be on sale because I don't want to buy a gaming computer, and the Eye Mini has a display, while the EML does not. Do you know if you can run View for the EML with a laptop with integrated graphics? I know you need a gaming PC to do any simulation, but what about just View?
@@friendly_golfer thanks, yeah I checked that, but was wondering if someone had tried without a gaming pc just to be sure. I just realized that the EML requires an Ethernet port on the computer (no adaptor allowed), which my laptop does not have. Sigh... I wonder why the Eye Mini was excluded from the sale... Frustrating.
curious given that you have the Quad, do you not see the foresight accuracy worth it? Versus uneekor? I'd have thought maybe you would be holding on for a Falcon. Curious what your logic is. thanks!
Oh for sure. The EyeXO vs Falcon price difference is pretty massive and I think more people would be interested in the Uneekor models because they’re just priced out of Foresight. I also feel like I already know what I’d be getting with the Falcon with already owning a Quad. I would need to keep the Quad or sell it to get the Falcon and I feel like having the portable Quad gives me more options to use it on the channel, potentially taking it outdoors (even though I never really do lol).
@@friendly_golfer thanks for the reply. if budget is no object would you go falcon or uneekor? 30% off sale is great right now. I think i can get 20% off falcon with military discount but really just want to have bullet proof accuracy above all else.
Im also a Quad user looking to go overhead. Looking at either a Protee VX or Uneekor EyeXo 2. I couldn't be happier with Quad but since I only play on GSPro, I have no need really for Foresight and their eco system of software that is way overpriced for what it is compared to GSPro. Also I asked Foresight rep about trading in Quad for a Falcon the discount and it would cost me $7k. Well for that price I can keep my quad and get a EyeXo 2 or Protee VX. Just my opinion.
@@nickfear8283 Good points. Have you tried EyeXo 2? The one bar i tried it at i wasnt' sure how accurate it was reading. Given you have experience with the quad would be interested in your thoughts. I'm research for a friend who has lots of space in his garage. Do they have subscription fees for plain GSPro use and for practice software? I'd rather have them use the mevo+ like me as It's a known quantity but just find the barebone flavour of the Eye Mini Lite a very interesting option for a static setup..
@@friendly_golfer I've had my square for a couple of weeks already. I was in the market for an EYE Mini Lite until I saw the square pop up. Seemingly an incredible deal especially the eye mini lite, I need a wide hitting area overhead so it would be EYE XO2 for me, $7700 marked down from $11,000 - sadly I still the the proteevx is a better value at $6500 (and I don’t think it has ever gone on sale)
This is the situation I am trying to decide on. An overhead system would just be a better option and these were the two I was considering. I hear the protee is a great value and no subscription if I remember correctly.
Hard to say without having tried both. On paper the ProteeVX probably looks better but Uneekor has been around a while with lots of happy customers. Tough choice!
Mmm sounds like a few vendors are going to have to do price correction … aligns with what most of us suspected- they charge waaaay too much for this stuff
So basically Uneekor is saying to never buy one of their products again, unless its been out for 6+months. Initial sales of any new releases are gonna tank. Why buy now, in a few months, the price will be cut!
