I was in high school when this song hit the charts. The album was awesome. The 80s were a great time to be a teen. So many great artists during this time.
80’s rock such as this is the best decade of rock ever! Even some 70’s rock was great too!! Stay with both decades and you pretty much can’t go wrong!!
Bro!! Grew up in the Bay Area then. Talk about insanely cool. Music clubs everywhere. Amazing music. House parties (Metalica, Exodus, Death Angel, etc, just hangin’ out!!). Red Hot Chili’s came up from LA all the time for $5 shows. So sad it’s all changed now!!
Bon Jovi played Russia for the first time in 1989 headlining the Moscow Peace Festival in a stadium at the peak of their 80's career... The band insisted on headlining that concert because they felt they were the most commercially successful band on the bill... alongside 80's bands (and artists) like Motley Crue... Ozzy Osbourne ... Scorpions... Cinderella ... Skid Row... I believe u can watch performances from that historic concert on YT.
oh and the band that pretty much brought the big hair and "glam rock" to the popular status was twisted sister. They were really talented and made all their videos have references to looney toons cartoons!
Lovely creature of course and ohhhh soooo young. I don't know a single Russian of her parents age who didn't rock out to this on the Sadovoe Ring on a warm summer's night in Mockba !!
You’re right, Irina. A lot of today’s popular “musicians” are not really great at their craft. Many sample/take previous music and use it in their own stuff, many times not even modifying it. And auto tune…. It’s like this; Thomas Edison wasn’t the greatest scientist/inventor. He was great at hiring great scientists to do the work for him and then taking the credit. The true great scientist was his rival, Nikolai Tesla.
Love the video my God I've watched so many different people doing these reactions on songs but young lady I can honestly say you are without a doubt the most beautiful woman my god you're eyes are the most beautiful I've ever seen I'm going to have to Subscribe to your channel and I just love your accent it's so amazing ❤
How could anybody not like rock?! Glad you've finally joined the good side of the force. 🙂Jon Bon Jovi is from New Jersey and wrote songs about working class people that resonated with a lot of people. Bon Jovi was one of the top bands of the 80s with a string of hits, and continued to be popular into the 90s and early 2000s. They still put out albums and go out on tour. "Wanted Dead or Alive" and "You Give Love a Bad Name" are a couple of more good Bon Jovi songs worth checking out.
The difference is that producers today want a perfect voice, but back then you needed to have an interesting voice. Perfect takes away all of what makes it interesting.
All right my fair lady.... In the mid-1980s I really never got into Bon Jovi although the music was all right , and on mainstream radio. I had the privilege to see Bon Jovi in concert about 10 years ago and it was absolutely amazing. Please do a reaction to a song called "Lay It Down" by RATT. Very happy to hear that you are a rock and roller ‼️💯🔥🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Some amazing love ballads from Bon Jovi are ''Always'', ''Bed of Roses'', ''I'll Be There For You'' Also some great songs like ''Keep the Faith'', ''Born To Be My Baby'', ''Wanted Dead or Alive''. Just pick any and you won't be disappointed!
Glad you liked it! I would recommend you go back and listen to these songs uninterrupted and take it in. Bon Jovi had quite a few great songs, from up tempo like this one to some slower power ballads. I would get through their 80's catalog first, then expand into the 90's.
My reply to another comment : I've been into music as musician and sound engineer. Autotune got released in the late 90s. Before that, pitch correction was limited and mostly to correct a few mistakes in a great take. In the 40s people altered tape speed. In the 70s, the Eventide H910 allowed precise basic digital pitch shifting. The H3000 from the late 80s improved this and offered many other great sounding effects. This one has been used on countless albums and many studios still use it to this day.
Ah, yes…those were the days. Bon Jovi helped define the 80s musically. This was one of Bon Jovi’s biggest hits. For a more mature Bon Jovi, early 90s, listen and watch the official video to Keep The Faith
I highly recommend for your rock trip the live 1994 Pink Floyd concert. Every song is great but probably start with Comfortably Numb, High Hopes and Sorrow. Amazing!
Auto tune and pitch correction didn't hit stage and studio work until 1999, I believe. You are absolutely correct. Such incredible vocal talent with so many individuals and bands in the 60's 70's 80's ect. They knew How to sing. Great reaction 😊
Well it's gonna take me another ten years to get this song out of my head again-lol! another good one! I bet you'd really love "Dead or Alive" from the same album. One of their best. Careful Irina, you're in danger of becoming a "Rocker" as we used to call it 😂
Written by Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora and Desmond Child. Produced by the late Bruce Fairbairn. Engineered by Bob Rock. Recorded in Little Mountain Sound Studios 🎙 in Vancouver, Canada 🇨🇦. That was a major studio for many rock musicians in the 1980s. I happened to have been in Vancouver when the entire album was recorded. But, I never met any of these men. 😖 1980s classic 👌 Suggested videos 📹: 1 Jon Bon Jovi performs It's My Life. 2 Aerosmith performs Dude Looks like a Lady 3 The Cult performs Fire Woman.
No auto tune or pitch correction you could tweak some things in the studio but on stage it was pure talent and not all bands could bring their studio sound on the road and some live performances were way better than the studio version
It takes certain songs to help you understand. Also, music from other countries are often virtually unknown. It's amazing that some songs from various countries find their way around the world. Every genre has that problem. Nobody has the ability to hear everything. The Internet and to a degree TH-cam reactions from people from around the world expose us all to new ideas and new concepts and genres. No longer are we just hearing mostly songs from our own countries, but now we hear music from around the world. The songs that pushed through in the 80s had to be catchy if they were in another language (Like "Amadeus" and "99 Luftballons"), but as later decades came along we became exposed to catchy songs like "Dragostea Din Tei", "The Macarena", "Despacito", "Headbanger" (from Baby Metal), and any song from Finnish metal group Nightwish. Moreover, their are thousands more out there. At the same time, watching a reactor raised in another country taking a liking to American genres and groups is fun for us. Not because of our various differences, but because we realize how many similarities we share. I'm very glad you liked this. It was very popular at the time, and remains so to this day. Thanks for taking a look!

You like rock. Check out Stryper. They were another great hair metal band from the eighties. They have great songs like Calling On You, Always There For You, To Hell With The Devil, Transgressor, Soldiers Under Command, Makes Me Wanna Sing, Do Unto Others, No More Hell To Pay, etc. great band.
Bon Jovi has so many great songs. They are probably the biggest rock band to come out of the 80's. They have so many hits such as You Give Love A Bad Name, Never Say Goodbye, In and Out of Love, Only Lonely, Silent Night, Runaway, Lay Your Hands on Me, I'll be there for you, Bad Medicine, Bed of Roses, Always, Thank you for loving me, Born to be my Baby, Living in sin, Miracle, Blaze of Glory, and so many more Any of their songs is worth checking out.

The 70's had the best Rock music. And then the 80's. Try some C.C.R. Credence Clearwater Revival. Or Boston. Rock and Roll will save your soul. Go Irina❤❤❤
Irina since you live in New Jersey and Bon Jovi is from the same state it is almost manditory you listen to them. And Bruce Springsteen for the same reason. Dancin' in the Dark or Born in the USA are his most commercially successful songs among the many. Both are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame I believe. Continue to Rock On!!!

Bon Jovi performed in the Soviet Union in 1989 as part of a festival there called the Moscow Music Peace Festival. It was broadcasted to 60 countries.

Jon Bon Jovi Helps Save Woman on Bridge, Say Authorities

Jon Bon Jovi has been credited with helping save a woman who was hanging off a bridge in Nashville on Tuesday night.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the musician helped persuade an unidentified woman come off the ledge of the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge, which spans Tennessee’s Cumberland River, and back to safety. “It takes all of us to help keep each other safe,” said Chief of Police John Drake in a statement posted to social media.
