      It’s obvious bait. Trying to bait a specific answer from him.
      It’s easy to say “the big gets bigger” just to engineer the conversation & people’s opinion.. but the respondent is clearly offering extra information… and he’s right

      While this is very useful information, I seem to have drifted from interests in stocks and wall street investment and delved into the cryptocurrency world. It was very rough in the beginning as yo had to be your own analyst broker and trader at the same time. Leading me to lose lots of investment until my research lead me to "Lance Bergel aka Cryptomint3r". I experience miracle after I meet him and followed his recommendations. My overall portfolio at some point went up 1250%. I invested $850 into most of Lance Bergel's recommendations and slept well at night. My biggest gain so far was when I invested around $12K into Lance recommendations and as of today they're worth over $239K. Lance, you have taken a was my financial worries over our situation and I am really really grateful. My daughter began her own asymmetrical investing with Lance Bergel and I suspect it will change her life for the better. I just cant wait. If you want to contact Lance Bergel, write to Cryptomint3r@gmailcom... thanks

    The books are yet to be written and the final losses yet to be tallied on how much a significant number of major hedge funds have cost the US economy since mid Feb 2020 because quietly and in the background, they have been bailed out en masse by a government that deemed them too big to fail. Why? They leveraged long and aggressively on a market they thought couldn't fail, and now we are paying for their gambling as we always do. And make no mistake, it was pure gambling, with multiple 10s of leverage with money they did not have, which was in the end through taxation, your money.

      @stancurry6265 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jaceus 777 after 2008, they banned just about all of the banks prop trading desks with the Dodd frank/ volcker regs. The banks had basically become massive hedge funds in the 2000s rather than a "financial service outfit"and that attributed to their demise. I think Morgan's revenue/profits in 2006-2007 was like 70 percent from the trading units. So now that that is banned there is no more talent pool of star money managers for funds to pull from anymore

      Hedge funds are wealth managers just like wealth management firms/investment banks etc. If you are qualified based on their select criteria they help manage your money by growing it through a number of investment strategies. They're basically just active fund managers but their clientele is super wealthy. Also they differ from standard wealth management offices in terms of risk appetite. Hedge funds risk appetite is typically higher than your standard wealth management Office. They deliver value to their clients by growing their money based on taking higher risk for higher reward investments. Its just a bit spooky because they don't have to show you too much detail or explain their strategy, you just have to look at their track record and trust them. I know this partly because I took an experience in a wealth management Office.

    interesting. the use of the word "talent" in trading. I don't think finance requires 'talent' to be successful as much as it does sound strategic creativity.

      Schrodinger's Cat I'm with you. It does require a bit of talent when you're able to consistently beat the markets via your investment strategies, a lot are activist investing for positive business development changes. I believe a lot of the talent has more to do with the other actions that go into raising capital, swindling investors, indexing, Asset allocation, hedging strategies, forecasting shorts, etc. are all talent (as well as analytically) driven processes when able to distinguish.

      right, well put. t sounds like you may have an academic background in finance. i'm not sure what some fund managers think when they say talent. If we were to gather information on a security before it reached the public i suppose that would make us "talented" wouldnt it?

      Jesus you sound like a person speaking out of their ass on finance. Yes bigger companies get more money because they're more established with their clients and more well-known by name brand as well as more respected among the investor community. There's not gonna be a lot of clients that are gonna line up for a smaller start up. As time and experience and loyalty grows, that's when start ups get more established.
