Matt I love drop shotting , but I live in Florida. So my go to is the Owner Cover Shot hook with a regular Roboworm rigged weedless . I was surprised you didn’t demonstrate the weedless method. Congrats on a great season, look forward to you having an even better season next year !
Having used both, I always use the nose hook for drop shot now. If I am using bigger bait, I typically will be going for a swimbait technique. Thanks for the video Matt.
Great video Matt! Prefer nose hooking as well. Question, are any of the pros using that alternative drop shot hook knot that cinches down from both the top and bottom? I was never a palomar knot user and that alternative seems to be super easy to tie and doesn't require the knot and tag end to be pulled back through the hook eye.
@@MattBeckerFishing thank you. been trying to pick colors for a phoenix. everybody says “steel”, but i was a bit worried about being to light/silver. you like it?
Raise the volume in asking you this question is because I want to try a different smaller beats Joshua rig turn on the can you try it with a swim beat no

Thank you! I hope next year is better as well!
If I am fishing largemouths I am Texas rigging my baits on my drop shot, using a straight shank hook with a keeper.
That’s the only way!

I don’t know the answer to that! But everyone I know and talk to does not use those type hooks
Question: What about using a longer straight shank lite wire hook?
That could be good!
Tough luck last tournament. You were dominating.
Good luck in toyota!
Thanks 👍
I want to know could you use right different smaller beats on your drop shot rig
Smaller is better!
Thanks Matt great info 👍
No problem 👍
I can't remember if I watched this or not, so I'm watching it now, inside joke.
🤣🤣
Great info as always
Thanks again!
Random question. Is “steel” the color of your inside deck/cockpit? if not what is it? Also hull color Black Silver?
Yes sir! You nailed both of them!
