You forgetting the most importaned fact about Orks in 40k. Orks Reproduce Like Mushrooms. So if a Ork Dies his Seeds fly of cross with other Ork Seeds and form a new Mushroom cononlie were Orkoloids grew. So fighting and all "Mass Death" Sports are nothing else as Sex for Orks. And if you keep that in mind while analyse Ork Social live everything makes sense. For GW Orks are One of there Best Background Story creations. Even in Astobilologie GW Orks are taken as an example for a Real Alien Social Behavoir.

Whaaaag! For warhammer 40k I feel that it's easy to have ties to what your favorite race is. For me I love everything about orks, they are goofy. On the game Space Marine there is an ork warboss by the name Grimskull, he's one of my favorite characters in 40k and is really a great example of the goofiness and war loving that is the orks. As for what they are tied with for me would be Necrons and the Iron Hands.
They are indeed the Mad Max's of the 40K realm of time & space without one friggin doubt, however these unruly, numbskullish & highly undisciplined green space hooligans carry out violence to a new level of religion for them as a Zeno race that's not representive to all of us here & beyond UC. ☝️👽👎
I love da Orkz, Got introduced through dawn of war 2 years ago but have always loved them. My favourite memory is when a stormboy has a death animation and just flies off somewhere and explodes randomly while taking out a bunch of enemy ork boyz!

I'm not sure far back that you've gone with the Ork books but WAAARGH the Orks! from the Rogue Trader era is a fantasic resource for any ork player; even going into detail about how Ghazghkull and Grotsnik came to be from the creators own rogue trader games.!

One of the most fascinating things about Orks to me is how varied their lives are. Some canon examples: GorkaMorka is run by big Meks and has a culture of merchentilism and artisanship. There is a gang of freebootaz making a living looting worlds atacked by Tyranids. There are Ork forts, factories and entire slum cities.
I wholesomely fall into that category for people brought to the series by the games but it was more so just a random question that brought me to your channel and its videos. Still trying to decided which army to go with XD

Awesome video as always! If you get a chance, some of the OG rogue trader orc lore is kind of interesting. In the old lore it seems orcs were more civilized and would trade with other races, offer themselves as mercenaries etc
Of cause it only makes sense if you know that any dead ork is also lunch and that anything left over seeds the ground with ork spores that grow into more snotlings, Gretchin or If its a particular well fed spore patch out pops a new ork. That makes killing orks off in an area really hard. They pop out of the ground like angry mushrooms.
Orks hold regular pit and cage fighting bouts with grots taking bets. They enjoy a closed ecology with the variable "squig" organisms that seem to appear everywhere orks can be found as an offshoot to their part fungal biology. This means Orks require nothing from the surrounding environment to thrive after a short time span. Orks create dung- squigs eat dung- orks eat squigs. Squigs haunt ork community toilets they call "da Drops" as they are usually just a large pit and occasionally a larger squig will eat an ork answering the call of nature. In this way, even relieving themselves becomes a potentially fun fight! Orks sometimes play games with "facebiter" squigs where, with his arms tied behind his back, an ork will try to eat the facebiter before it eats his face in exchange for teef, grog (fungus beer) food or gear. Some orks gravitate towards one of the "specialist" mobs that fulfill niche roles in ork culture and battlefield tactics. Burna boyz in particular are highly valued for their ability to cut and shape scrap metals using their adjustable nozzled burnas. Mekboyz employ these pyromaniacs to assist in cutting and shaping metal for large projects and the local warboss looks the other way when they set the occasional building ablaze if/when they get bored. I could go on :) Orks have been my favourite race in 40k for a decade and remain my preferred army in the tabletop game
I got into game as Blackreach was recent.. haven't assembled a single stock model ever.. blackreach dreadnought was immediately converted into Killa Kan :D And those termies made pretty tough 'Ard boyz conversions :D Oh your gods! Maybe it's time to get back to hobby, today's models are amazing!!!!!
Also, Deff Dreads are pretty good now. I imagine the Deathskull loot markets are also a great outlets for making teef, but thats usually after battle, not outside of it.
