Yep. Grew up in Capitan and spent a lot of time in that area. Cloudcroft is also a nice place. That would be awesome to win a sweepstakes and hunt there.
Hey randy love your videos! I have a question not totally related to this video. Just wondering if you've done a video on cold weather hunting gear or if you have any advice? I'm going to northern Idaho in late November whitetail hunting!
Great video! Always enjoy watching your hunts. I appreciate that you try to help people along with making it fun. Hope I get an opportunity and win a sweepstakes and get to hunt with you sometime. Great job and keep up the good work! Happy hunting!!!
How lucky your brother won the hunt! Just kidding, but I did think I was seeing double in the first scene of the video. I enjoy all your videos and hunting advice!
I have been in New Mexico for three years and got in to hunting since being out here. I have killed a deer and an oryx and failed at elk. This year I have an elk bow tag and am watching your videos for tips, I am a huge fan. One question I have is what model spotting scope do you use to find the big ones? Thanks.
I wish you would do a mule deer hunt in New Mexico and maybe an oryx hunt and a javelina hunt would be awesome hope you're having awesome luck this year
Our episodes are about native species, but I do apply for oryx. Just never draw. I will be doing javelina in AZ next month. We filmed three elk hunts in NM this year and one pronghorn hunt. Thanks for watching.
That's funny I got skunked in Unit 51 last year too. Had the same thing happen, tracked a bull for about a mile through nasty blowdowns and kept seeing glimpses of him and the cow he was with but never had a shooting lane I was comfortable with. Hopefully I'll have better luck in 21A this October. You videos are awesome and the more I watch the more anxious I am to get this summer over with and get into hunting season.
These are the best videos I love watching your show it makes me happy, your personality makes me laugh and your videos never bore me at all keep it up Randy. :D
Simply the best hunting show there is. Very informative and down to earth, yet still entertaining.
Thank you so much. We try hard, even if we don't always succeed.
i guess I'm quite off topic but does anybody know a good place to watch new tv shows online ?
@Boone Nikolas Try flixzone. Just google for it =)
@Boone Nikolas i would suggest flixzone. You can find it by googling =)
@Lawson William Definitely, I have been using flixzone for months myself =)
Am from Mescalero NM 🙌🏼 New Mexico has the best elk country 💯💯
It sure is. I will be down near there in two weeks, helping a friend with an elk tag. What a beautiful place you live in.

How come tom was not wearing any hunter orange during a rifle hunt in NM?
Because NM does not have a requirement to wear hunter orange, even in rifle season. Hope that helps.
