Justin has it easy.... He knows so many people, he knows the son of a big producer, he knows A LOT OF PEOPLE from the different industries. So when he graduates he will have a job in no time. Low key jealous. I know I should work on my own dreams, but when you dont have tons of money, its hard to get out there... NO hate towards him, but man, I sometimes fantasize living a life like Justin's.

He got accepted into USC because of his filmmaking talent, not because of money. He's a good guy and that's how he has these connections. Be a good person and good things will come to you.

Dude I was a former Pre-Med With a chem degree. You don't need to be a film major just to make quality content. Don't waste your time on a dumb major. Just purchase the program like Final Cut, Premiere, or get a free movie making software. There are bunch of TH-cam videos out there that does way better job than the professors. It's all about practicing. At the same time, its great for you when you feel stressed out. Kinda like a hobby while pursing med school.
NihselAviation Yeah, but I want to makes big films, TV series, and screen write and I feel like going to a film school will give me the opportunity to try these things and have the equipment used for things of that such.
I mean, look at Casey. He didn't go to film school and look at him now. The great thing about not having film major is that you aren't pressured into getting a grade. Also, you have plenty of time to work on screen writing and you could honestly make great quality videos with a cheap camera, as long they are like over 720p. Heck, I have seen great movies done through an iPhone only. Main point here is take time to make a quality product rather than being rushed. Plus the great thing about having a science degree that it will give you enough money to buy the equipment you need. But it's totally up to you to decided. :). Good luck.
NihselAviation I'm not gonna lie Film school might be a waste but I wanna to do big productions films and go on to further success. I don't know if I can handle both majors I apply to college next school year so I crossed my fingers I'll be able to keep together! Haha
See whether you can do it as a minor though. You only need is 20-30 credits. Check with the schools though if there is such thing. I know my school did. That way you can choose what you want.

I am Amiya Gupta, from India. And I sometimes feel that I have been born in a wrong place. There are film schools in our country but I feel that my parents will never enroll me in any. You are the lucky that you are studying there. Spielberg sir, Lucas sir has also studied there. But we should not forget that there are many filmmakers who have never gone to film school. For example Satyajit Rai Sir who is from our country.
