I think this shows what a great comedian Sharon could be. I know she said once that she wanted to be mixture of Carole Lombard and Catherine Deneuve. If anyone could have carried that out it would have been Sharon. So sad that we'll never know what could have been. Rip Sharon 😢
Damn...what a big future she had! I love seeing her on film. Valley of the Dolls is a favorite, but comedy suits her so much more! She could have easily found success in television with a Sex and the City or Murphy Brown type show. Her life was cut short and now we are left with the what ifs.
@@ryeguy7941 Yeah, a rope, 3 Buck knives, and a 22 Buntline won't strike much fear in a lot of people, certainly not these days. Lots of celebrities got guns, dogs, security systems, etc., afterwards, but not sure how many were on board with it beforehand. End of the sixties and all, and Woodstock hadn't happened yet. This was the event that got people to think about hardening their perimeter. The Labiancas were returning home towing their boat, stopped to pick up a newspaper, and the guy at the newsstand was the last one to see them alive, other than the Family. Rosemary was horrified at the headlines but home they went, only to be murdered within an hour or so, with Leno asleep in the chair and the door unlocked so Charlie could walk right over from the old Harold True house next door. Here's the kicker. Leno owned a bunch of guns, but had never prepared for such an event, and didn't have the modern self defense mindset often seen today. I guess I owe Leno a debt of gratitude, as there's a loaded gun in every room of the house, with a security system protecting every window and door. And windows are never left open overnight. Hard perimeter. Thanks to 3 guys, with Tex being #1. #2 is Richard Ramirez, and #3 is Danny Rolling. Not happening. Ever. An HK in every room, plus other goodies. DD, LMTs, 870s. Gitchusum.
@@BradfordHuckins Yep, it was signifying the end of an era. Been to Bethel, and been to Cielo Drive. Like visiting other historic sites, there's an eerie quality to it. Got the same at Antietam and Ford's Theatre, amongst others.
Circa 1964, Chrysler Corp furnished the cars for the show and Miss Hathaway got a current model, the car in this clip is a 1964 Dodge Polara Convertible. RIP Sharon Tate, she was a beautiful and talented young lady.
I am sure that Ms Tate's tragic demise greatly affected the cast and crew of the Beverly Hillbillies who were a current TV show when this awful occurence happened .
Besides appearing several times as a bank secretary, she also dawns a blind wig in the episode,"the Garden Party.". She has one line in the episode, "Hey, Doris!". This was the time the party moves to the clampett's pool area from the Drysdale's yard when Granny shoots a plastic alligator Jethro bought and put in it. Though nobody knows why! Cut down at 26!
It's so hard to believe Sharon Tate plays the secretarial role in Beverly Hillbillies about 6 years before being strung up hung from the rafters in the Polanski estate in Hollywood by Charlie Mansons group and bludgeoned to death 16 stab wounds
Sharon makes the most out of every line and delivers broad comedy very well . She knows whats she is doing and is radiant .
Sharon Tate was PERFECT for Janet Trego. Tate had a real gift for comedy.
Of course, broad comedy is exclusive to women.
What a radiant, charismatic person Sharon was,and this clip shows that she had real acting talent :-)
Comedy was Sharon Tate's forte.
What a talented beautiful woman. Rip Sharon
Sharon! Loved forever ❤️

I just love Sharon in the Beverly Hillbillies so cute! Thanks for the uploads:)
It's a wonderful clip and I thank you for posting it. Sharon looks amazing, even with her hair covered in a black wig.

And we lost Sharon, instead of Candace Bergen. What a travesty. Too bad Jay didn't have a. 357 or 1911.
@@pauljohnson9445 that night would of went way different had McQueen been there.

Dash Riprock passing up Sharon Tate for Nancy Kulp? Now that's acting!
Toujours aussi magnifique Sharon d’amour ❤️💔😢
Sharon was very good as the scatterbrained secretary. Those roles are more difficult than they seem, I think "screwball" comedy was her calling.
I do too Sharon always lights up the screen she was so fun to watch in the beverly hillbillies. You are very welcome! :)
God Bless!
Katie =^..^=
I never knew that was Sharon, as a kid watching BH reruns I always lit up whe Hathaways secretary had a scene

I had no idea that was Sharon Tate!
Most people never knew until years later.
Willian Ranshoff had the idea of the black wig because he didnt want anyone stealing his find.
even with a wig on... Gosh 😍😍😍
lol I Love this
Hilarious and beautiful
How sad it breaks my heart.
Curt down in her prime, not being permitted to live her adult life to its fullest! Killed by the Manson GANG in a jelous rage!

Yes and ironically Doris is Sharon’s mothers name!
Every star that dies young supposedly has a great future. It's strange how those that live are so often forgotten.
@ja maguire shame about both. Very sad.

Ugh that last line raised hairs.
Sharon once said that she didn't like to go out into public because people would just stand there and stare at her.
I don't care what they say, Hathaway always looked pretty to me
Oh, come on, Sharon was into short men who looked like little boys like Roman Polanski and Jay Sebring. No way would she go for Dash Riprock!
Dash Riprock, you fool! Jane Hathaway over Sharon Tate, are you crazy?
It was a comedy.
Lol, poor Sharon couldn't catch a break. Impregnated by a molester, and murdered by the Manson gang.
Who does Sharon play in this episode?
I think she played the part of Miss Jane's secretary.
Janet Trego -- Miss. Hathaway's secretary.
lolol....
Damn.. even David Bowie was on this!
