  • In honor of National Prematurity Awareness Month, I am teaming up with WaterWipes to educate you on prematurity.
Many parents feel many emotions if they have a baby born preterm.
Having a baby in the NICU can be an overwhelming experience and I hope you feel a little more prepared on what you can expect.
Here’s what you can expect in this video:
    0:55 Definition of prematurity
    1:26 Risk factors of Prematurity
2:11 What is monitored in the NICU
3:25 Various organ systems monitored in the NICU
    6:50 Monitoring development
7:35 Adjusting age for preterm babies
11:00 Caring for your baby in the NICU
13:09 Why WaterWipes is so useful for baby skincare
Thank you WaterWipes for partnering with me to educate families in honor of National Prematurity Awareness Month. WaterWipes is clinicially tested to help against the causes of Diaper Dermatitis.* As a Healthcare Professional (HCP) and mom, I love using and recommending WaterWipes. WaterWipes water undergoes a 7-stage water purification process, which removes impurities, while softening and purifying the water. As well as being extremely gentle on babies’ skin, the result is a deeper and more effective clean as the water is able to reach pores and crevices that cooled boiled water can’t - without leaving a residue on the skin. It’s great for babies, especially babies with sensitive skin.

How common is bradycardia episodes in premature babies? My son is 31 weeks old in the nicu he’s had these episodes where is heart rate drops. It just sounds so scary to me. Will he grow out of it ?
