Yo read the comment section your missing a lot of things
That's wasn't young saber he plainly says Jeanne as in Jeanne D'Arc Also named Joan of Arc did you guys not pay attention in world history every character is based on a real person I'm not sure if you understand that
@@thepig6054 It's funny that they mistook Jeanne for Artoria (Saber). It almost justifies Gilles (Caster) misidentifying her haha.
They probably aren't very familiar with the story of Jeanne d'Arc and, to be fair, Gilles de Rais is not a well known historical figure.
@@blakerichey2425 My only problem with them thinking that Jeanne was a younger Saber is that Gilles calls her Jeanne as he dies and it shows a shot of her holding out her hand to him
"I hope saber's noble phantasm isn't just a big sword slash"
Me: oh no
"I hope Saber's noble phantasm isn't just a big sword slash, I hope it's cool"
Me: well yes but yes
She's a saber, it's always a beam!
13:23 this ain't young saber. That's Jeanne d'arc. She's a character you'll see in fate Apocrypha
@@HelenaSan425 yess she's one of my favorite✨
@@HelenaSan425 And then she went crazy and acquired a flying shark.
@@HelenaSan425 fate grand order stuff
@@TheDefectiveAI yeah Reece XP
Trueee
The moment they released this episode... INSTANT CLICK CAUSE THIS IS THE VERY EPISODE I WANT TO SEE THEM REACT. WHAHAHHAAA
Definitely a hype episode. There are two others I am very excited for them to release
.
.
.
The next episode is one of them :)
Iskandar is Alexander the Great
Gilagamesh is really interesting character. Every treasure in this world belongs to him or so he says. But aside from that he also finds something valuable in Saber's tragedy as well , therefore making Saber more interesting and attractive to him. which is why he wants her for himself . Same with Waver's loyalty, that was something valuable and he respects that, that's why he didn't kill him in the end. Incase anyone says it's spoiler they hv seen that ep by this point.
spoiler :D
Ah yes, Gilgamesh, the biggest Saber simp.
He truly has a taste fit for a king.
Dude how many famous people of History you know that were called Jeanne xD
Takeuchi the designer has the tendency of making all his females having similar faces and Jeanne D’Arc being also blonde makes her and Arthuria look even more similar
i think its on purpose so we can see why giles confused artoria with jeanne
@@ultimatesonic47 no cause Jeanne was designed WAY before Urobuchi wrote Zero, Takeuchi designed her for fun iirc
@@Siplexus zero isnt the first time artoria appears
@@ultimatesonic47 DUDE Artoria was designed during the time Takeuchi was in highschool and Fate/Stay Night was released in 2004 as a Visual Novel, during 2005 or maybe earlier Jeanne was created as a random drawing Takeuchi did, Urobuchi wrote Zero around 2006.
Jeanne wasnt designed on purpose to make the Gilles Story but its the other way around Gilles was written into Zero with that plot cause Takeuchi loves to use the same Saberface for his female characters
@@Siplexus DUDE i said i think i didnt say it was like that you could have just said it completely since the beginning
🤣🤣🤣😂😂 2:43 "I just hope that Saber's Noble Phantasm isn't just some big ass sword swing man, I swear to god" got me fucking dead asf LMAOOO..... It is man... It is..
Don't sweat the history/mythology stuff, it is perfectly fine to enjoy the show for what it is without knowing the deeper lore of each character. Most of these characters are almost nothing like their historical counterparts anyway, and the Fate writers simply make a ton of it up when it needs to fit the story. It's all in good fun.
but with history it is MORE enjoyable=)
Caster thinks that Saber is Joan of Arc who is one of the most famous female knights in history
12:30 the reason why Waver (and everyone else) had a pensive blank look is because of their observation of Saber's Noble Phantasm. Their reaction is because its not just powerful but very solemn and sad as if this was her final moment, her last stand to grant victory to make up for all the people who already died around her in battle.
The person Caster saw was not Saber, it was in fact, Jeanne d'Arc.
Jeanne is pronounced John like how Shawn is Sean and vice versa. Her name is sometimes spelled Joan of Arc in the English/British version I believe. Jeanne is french name.
Just so you know, Jeanne that Caster always mentions is Jeanne of Arc, another hero whom he knew in life. Saber, whose identity is King Arthur, has nothing to do with her, they just have a similar look. There's an anime about alternate Grail War called Fate/Apocrypha. In this anime, Jeanne makes an appearance as a Servant, and we learn more about her character.
@Sour_Taste Can you guys make a video on your research about these servants from Fate Zero? I'd like to see your reactions to some of the lore seeing as you guys admit to not knowing much about them. Anyone else want this? ^*^
i mean you guys can make an episode on its own, in which you learn about all those servants in this holy grail war and some of their backgrounds
Gilgamesh : is a collosal creep but with fancy words
watchers "wow he keeps getting better"
"thats you whack, I have something better"
thats funny neel. if its saber other sword then he has the prototype.
Yeah, the so-called "Saber face" has confused every Fate-watcher since forever! Basically, in the nasuverse, a lot of servants share similar looks even if they came from different times and regions. For example, Artoria, Nero (the roman emperor) and Jeanne D'Arc have all the same look but different clothes and are completely different personas. This actually has an in-universe explanation, mostly because the Throne of Heroes (the places where servants are when not summoned) usually meddle a little bit with their look, especially for fictional heroes (an example for that is Jack The Ripper, in Fate/Apocrypha, that isn't a single person but the incarnation of all the still-born babies in Victorian London)
"he is actually god" well yeas he is
If you round it up yeah.
You will start to notice a paralell between Gilgamesh being interested in people's tragedy and how they struggle in their final moments with how Kotomine Kirei finds 'joy' in other people's lives.
Wait until they watch Fate/Apocrypha and he sees the Indian Sun God Karna👀
Most scenes with Karna are crap.
@@skychieftain they really go overboard when it comes to his NP😅
@@mad-scientist except his NP doesn't do.... What it is defined to do. None of his NPs do what they are DEFINED to do. Its just a major disservice to his character and power
He's not the sun god. He's the son of the sun god. But yeah, he's really cool.
The chills I get every time I watch Saber call Excalibur.. MY GOD
I feel like I should clarify because this is the last time you'll see Caster in this series anyway. The person he saw right before he died *was* Joan of Arc (Jeanne), the person he keeps mistaking Saber for. He fought alongside her in the 100 Years War, and he believed her to be a living saint sent by God himself to save their homeland. He was Grand Marshal of France at this time (literally leader of the entire military effort). After she was brutally burned at the stake by the English on trumped up charges of heresy, witchcraft, crossdressing etc. he lost all faith in God and in humanity as a whole and started worshipping eldritch beings for money and power, eventually being the psychopathic monster you see in this series.
The talk about Saber make me want to read/watch the Fate route again.
This episode was always cool to see seiba finally do stuff in battle
7:50 Gilgamesh in a nutshell.
Definitely look up a little about Gilles de Rais and you'll understand better that this man went off the deep end when the Jeane of Arc he admired so much, got betrayed by her own people and then executed-
Fate just gave Jean and Artoria the same face, but they're very much not related. Also explains why Gilles was so sure it was her.
Knowing history isn't necessary to get into Fate, but i highly recommend looking up the servants as soon as you know their name. I mean, i did so at least
That wasn't young Saber, that was Jeanne D'arc
Speaking of Indian stuff, there's an Indian servant in Fate/Apocrypha (and A LOT in Fate/Grand Order game).
Oh look there's a flying saucer landed over there, let's go touch it
can't wait for UBW reaction
Gilgamesh isn’t god, he’s 2/3 god
It's not the young saber. Jeanne D' Arc is a Ruler (another servant class from a different Fate series) wait 'til you see her.
13:24 she's not saber she's Jeanne d arc class ruler their are both different
Man I'll never get tired of hearing EXU... CALIBAAAAAAA
Gilgamesh is 2/3 god and 1/3 mongrel XD
Gil would call the gods mongrels too. It's not a name for humans only. Because gil prefers his human side. It's a name for anyone who's not Gilgamesh.
it was Jeanne da arc
shout to "that guy" from the bible who ceperate the sea 🤣🤣🤣🤣
13:35 Jeanne is not Saber lol
Healing Kariya is actually proof Kirei is inherently evil because allowing Kariya to die there would be the most humane thing to do
Fun fact: Excalibur could probably destroy Ionioi Hetairoi.
It's been shown capable of destroying a Reality Marble, albeit from the outside.
No it hasn't lmao. Artoria would be decimated by Iskander's army. Her Excalibur wouldn't destroy as much as is required since it isn't specialized to destroy armies.
@@skychieftain It destroyed Shirou's Reality Marble in UBW in the original visual novel. And it wasn't even aiming at it.
Also you're severely underestimating Excalibur's reach. In Fate/Hollow Ataraxia it covered almost all of Fuyuki.
But all of this is irrelevant. She doesn't need to do any of that. Just kill Iskandar. And he's an easy target.
@@FlorinValentin14 no it didn't. Shirou's UBW was already fading before Excalibur was used since Rin was already out of Magical energy. It was the lack of magical energy that broke the reality marble, not Excalibur.
And no. It doesn't have a large reach. Its effective only for a mile at best. That's nothing compared to Iskander's army.
@@skychieftain Bzzt, wrong. The narration literally says the light of the sword wiped away the RM.
And wrong again, Iskandar's army is an army, they're not spread out over dozens of miles.
And again, Iskandar always charges first. He's an easy target and has no defense against Excalibur whatsoever.
In other words, he can't beat Saber in any way.
@@FlorinValentin14 except he knows what Excalibur can do. He even dodges it later in the anime lmao.
Pay attention while reading. It said that the light wiped away the ALREADY FADING reality marble. It began fading long before Excalibur was used since Rin ran out of mana leading to Shirou working with an empty magic crest.
We get to see the different viewpoints from the 3 kings but I think they don't really take into account or Saber's perspective given their background. And Saber's noble phantasm is proof of their impact as a king. Saber was actually a good king but i think it gets downplayed due to the personality of the other two kings. She dosen't have to change her viewpoint because she isnt neccesarily wrong.
That ain't saber shes ruler from fate apocrypha
yessirr EXCALIBURRRRR
Gilgamesh is as good as ever!
NGL I been waiting for this. Say it with me y'all, *EX-*
*-CALIIIIBUUURRRRRRRR!*
Jeanne and saber are different people. They just look really similar
Iskander is Alexander the Great, think its easier to recognize him.
Your knowledge about history or myths and legends seems soo bad. Sry, don't want to offend you, i think it's just so funny. How can somebody not know who King Arthur, Jeanne d'arc or Alexander the Great is.
Some people just aren't interested in that stuff. I can barely recall anything about Arthur, have only heard Jeanne d'arc's name and same with Alexander
@@furiousdestroyah9999 Yes but you at least know their names, lmao
I only know king Arthor because the seven deadly sins, the other two I never heard of them, and I'm Algerian our history is side to side with frinsh
I personally think Anos is more saucy then Gilgamesh
Fate Series is crazy as fuck, please react to the opening and the ending of fate zero, they are so beatiful :)
They have reacted to the op, in fact all of the fate ops.
iskandar is Alexander the great
It's only me skipped 14 episodes and came to watch this.....

Amazing
EXCALIBUR!
If you want good grasp on the story’s of anything fate including videos of the real story’s and legends of these characters both in reality and in the Nasuverse ( fate franchise ) theres is are a few TH-camrs that are very Fate dedicated my favs Tsiah V and Otaku Daikun but just look for servants you’ve seen or you will be spoiled.
Saber ( gender bend king Arthur )
Lancer ( Diarmund a Irish knight of the knight of Fianna from the tail of The pursuit of Diarmund and Grainnie )
Archer ( main character of fist and oldest known epic of a hero in human history he’s also demigod his story is of Babylonian origin )
Rider ( Iskander or better known as Alexander the Great nearly conquered under his banner the entire known world in his time.
Caster ( Gilles de Rais a French nobleman and knight a man who turned to occultism and gleefully became a child r***ing/murderer. )
Assassin ( all the assassins here were part of a group called the Hassan to in a ways we’re an organization considered to be the origin of the word assassin. )
Berserker ( can’t say its a a spoiler so lets just say he’s a knight that fell to madness after some events of his story. )
Ignore Tsiah. He doesn't know what he's talking about. OtakuDaiKun is good though.
