Congrats Lalaport has finally opened in Malaysia. My last visit to Lalaport in Japan was last year Dec located near Osaka. For the bread shop DONQ, i did not know it is a famous bread shop in Kobe city where I used to pass by their shop sometimes. They have branches in most Lalaport shopping malls here as well.
Somehow I wish there's Bandai store opened there so we can go and purchase Gunpla Model Kit or any Anime or Tokusatsu action figures, and hopefully they bring a 1:1 scale Gundam to Malaysia too, if Japan now have Unicorn Gundam and Shanghai have Freedom Gundam, the previous RX-78 still good to bring into Lalaport KL I think.

ドンクのパンは昔神戸の三宮の本店でパン買って食った事ありますがかなり美味かったと記憶してますよ👍️ついでに神戸発祥と言えばドンクの次はモロゾフ辺りが進出しそう。モロゾフは確かシンガポールには進出してるからね～🤔
ドンクがオープンしたらすぐに行って食べてみようと思います😆(たしかシンガポールには既に進出しているようです)

The Malaysian Gundam version is so funny looking. It’s like what someone overseas who has never been to Malaysia would design. The design reminds me of a tribal type person. No wonder they didn’t build it here, LOL! An alternative character would be cool though eg the blue RX-178-MKII Titans.

原本还以为可以在那里买到日本手机、象印电饭煲、日本高端空调之类的产品~
店里卖的东西，跟本地电器连锁店 senq、tbm 差不多。太没日本特色，可惜了~ 😢
日本電器需要轉換器才可以使用，也許是110v這裡拿不到sirim, 所以不能售賣哦

我估计应该是保修问题，所以没进口马来西亚。
如果nojima 肯承担起保修责任，他可以做完马来西亚的日本电器生意~ 甚至新加坡生意都可以做。
因为这门生意，目前没人做。可能一般马来西亚人都不舍得花比一般中国电器好几倍的价格去买日本电器，所以市场小，没商人要卖日本电器。
如果nojima肯卖日本电器，可以造福很多原本想去日本买电器的马来西亚旅客。
不过都不太可能。毕竟马来西亚这方面，市场小，利润又少，又麻烦。
日本人千里迢迢来马来西亚开门市，是为了赚钱，不是卖情怀。。。aww~😢

Bro I agree with what you said but keep in mind that imported products should not harm locally produced products. Yes our locally built products might not be ad good as Japanese one but still we need to protect local production so that we can make our economy stronger.
@@bluesky842 hmm~ I don't think Japan is the main competitor of Malaysia in home appliance market. Because they don't produce low end product in Japan but China. Yet, their price is incomparable higher than any product made in Malaysia. I think China is the main competitor of every global manufacturer of household appliances. And that already endangered our local manufacturer. Malaysia government is sleeping.
I m not sure what are the terms Malaysia government signed in RCEP agreement. I could foresee that our local manufacturers like khind and pensonic will undergoing a challenging hard time in future.

Historical Trivia... LaLaport KL used to be a chinese cemetary site before being built as a prison (Pudu Jail) in 1895 and was also being used by the Japanese Imperial Army in WW2 to incarcerate British POWs (What a coincidence as Japanese Conglomerate is now managing the mall 😅) . Many notorious criminals being hanged in Pudu Prison like the infamous Botak Chin.
If I work at lalaport, I wouldn't dare to go back too late at night.😰😰

partially agree with your opinion. in case, if they want to survive in malaysia, they should broaden their price range instead of focus on high end product in order to attract more potential customers. but still, there are a lot rich malaysians living in KL who prefer quality over their price of product. every year, many people cry for being poor, but still got so many people queue outside Apple store when new iphone release. Lol~ 🤣
Actually, international trade is complex, mainly because of friction such as taxes and tariffs. There is often the misconception that imported means more expensive. Those who have been to more developed countries would know that some/many items are cheaper there than in Msia - there are many reasons for this, one of which is scale, i.e. larger population larger consumer base. Now, if friction could be minimised, then imported goods can be comparable to local goods. But then again, is Nestle a “local” brand? Tax and tariff reduction is a whole separate topic altogether which involves touchy subjects of national interest, etc.

The number of mall in KL area is excessive while nothing has done to ease the traffic commute.
Long story short this is something similar like takashimaya singapore concept. Doesn't float my boat ~
I prefer japan shopping street concept (especially the osaka ones both near dotonbori river) rather than departmental mall type which is just like any other mall you can find anywhere.

这个商场的建筑素质和设计满很粗糙。美食街的地板不整齐，有难看的洋灰覆盖和细缝裂口。外面的几盏灯已经坏了在闪烁，天台的泉一部分已经干了，路墩没有画上黄线，害我们跌倒。外部设计很日本，但没有日本人讲究的细节。希望有特色的商店可以支撑这个商场。谢谢介绍。

@@DragN_H3art you can take lrt or monorail to Hang Tuah station and walk over, that's the nearest. It's around less than 5 minutes walk only. The pedestrian bridge has yet to open but it seems soon.

It appears Klang Valley had planned several large malls prior to the pandemic and now coming on stream. LalaPort, Pavilion Bukit Jalil and Tropicana Gardens Mall come to mind. Am sure there are others. Can the economy, current pandemic, and buying behaviours sustain all the new and existing malls? Time will tell.

@@waynedarren Bcos there are just too many shopping malls in Klang Valley. The tenant shops are mostly repeated such as KFC< MCD, Guardian, Watson etc. Lalaport is still ok, as it is totally new with some new FIRST and NEW tenant in Malaysia. Of course, it needs international visitors in the long run as it is the FIRST and ONLY LALAPORT in South East Asia.
That's why they planned the KL - Singapore HSR, to attract more Singapore tourists to spend in KL. These malls can't survive if just relying on locals.

今天才去走走，然后里面70%的店都没开。食物和饮料都有限....
Kaori,在PJ的某一间mall(有着全雪州最大间的Starbucks)有Donki的第三间分行哟。 (希望妳能好好的google一下哟😉)

那天有空经过，进去看看。地方是大，但一堆店没开，没有足够指示牌，瞎走太浪费我时间和泊车费。。日本电器店和本地其他连锁店大同小异，刚开张也没什么优惠，所谓打折品都已没货。。还有一点，商场地板很滑，我差点很没形象地跌倒。。最好逛的店竟然是DIY，晕。。
