  • Let's Encrypt is a certificate authority that offers free certificates to secure websites. The certificates are issued through an automated process, making it easier and more accessible for website owners to secure their sites with HTTPS. The protocol that enables automatic certificate management is called ACME, which stands for Automatic Certificate Management Environment.
The Let's Encrypt service is not intended for servers operating on private networks. However, SharkTrust and SharkTrustX extend the capabilities of Let's Encrypt and provide a smart solution for using it with servers on private networks.
    We provide two SharkTrust versions:
1 SharkTrust: This version is primarily designed for microcontroller-based products that lack the processing power and memory to handle certificates and/or the acme protocol directly. It can be used with any web server, but requires C code integration.

2 SharkTrustX: This is an extended version of SharkTrust that also enables secure remote access of private Intranet web servers. It is designed as a ready-to-use plugin for the Barracuda App Server.

Both SharkTrust and SharkTrustX operate as online portals. See the SharkTrust introduction for additional information: realtimelogic....
