I really want to have optimism with this team, but it is getting harder and harder. Also, is Josh Palmer dealing with an injury? If not, he seems to have regressed drastically.
The Chargers haven’t scored a second half touchdown since week one. They haven’t scored a TD in 15 consecutive drives. They’re averaging less than 18 points game. Until you can, you know, score points, whining about officiating just reminds people that 1) your team is losing and 2) even with Harbaugh you still expect to lose.
@Willtellthetruth U ever heard the term throw a stone into a pack of dogs and one that hollars the most is one that got hit? That would be you .. because the truth hurts
I was there. Chargers couldnt run the ball and Chargers couldnt stop the run. Conner was really good. Herbert was moving the team down the field thru the air repeatedly despite lack of run game. Herb was dialed in. Dropped passes. The plays called in the red zone were not working and not creative. Herb needs to take control in these critical moments. It's ALWAYS the OC's fault when Herbert plays like trash. How many OCs do you want to hire and fire before you realize the problem is Herbert? Trade him.
The Chargers went into the season with a bottom tier WR room so they were expected to have their struggles throughout the season. Palmer & QJ are more of a #3 & #4 & would be on several teams. LM is their only WR that consistently creates separation.
It's time to give Justin full permission to do audibles. He's smart, experienced, reads defenses and protects the ball. A top OC would have given him that permission Year One. Justin is too considerate to do it without full permission. With audibles he can make even average receivers great 👍👍

This last game reminded me of the old Chargers. Offense makes a winning drive and then the defense doesn't hold when the game is on the line. We are terrible in the second half. If we can score at all, it's always field goals. I think the Chargers will finish 8-9 and I'm being generous. Even the next few games scare me. I appreciate this broadcast very much and really like the presenters, but I think the reality is that we are a below average team on offense and even if we were to make the playoffs would probably be one and done. For now, we need to be ok with modest gains and look forward to the 25 draft and future trades. Not quite. The problem isn’t fumbling *near* the end zone; the problem is fumbling *into* the end zone and then the ball leaving the end zone either because it gets knocked out or its own momentum carries it out. In that scenario, it’s a touchback for the opponent.

Apparently even a Harbaugh rebuild is going to take some time. I suspect in 3 years this will be a solid team year in and year out. But I feel management is going to take its time and build this thing up properly. Probably not what fans want to see but probably the right way to do it under their budgetary constraints.
Same way with the Lions. Everyone hated Campbell the first year, Goff was awful and getting called out by Campbell and they went 3-13. They added pieces thru the draft the next year and went 8-9. Then two years ago, added more pieces and went 12-5 and made the NFC championship game. Now they are 5-1 and a top 5 team. It's going to be 3-4 years to turn around a losing franchise, just like they did in Detroit.
With the Chargers, there’s always an “if.” “If” guys are healthy. “If” Herbert has someone to throw to. “If they can just win their next four games they could be 7-3.” Now it’s “if they could’ve just scored 21 points a game, they’d be 6-0.” Come on now. At some point you have to go from the team that’s going to do something to the team that actually does something. The Chargers have won five playoff games in 28 years. They’re a bad organization, and as long as they’re a bad organization they’re not going to win anything. It doesn’t matter who the coach is or who the QB is.
Brenden Rice must really be struggling to learn this offense if we bring up practice squad ahead of him. He needs to study or something. LOL I only count lost fumbles. The GREAT LT only lost 12 fumbles in his entire career.
I can’t help but suspect that something isn’t right with the NFL. I bet anything years into the future we get a Netflix special about games being tilted by the officiating staff. Certain teams get away with way too much to the point where it can’t be a coincidence and other teams can’t catch a break regardless. There are definitely favorites that the league recognizes and I stand by my feelings that this seems very much like the league has elements of WWE to it.
Never going to happen. Hortiz, Harbaugh and Roman all hate WRs. Thats why it took YEARS to finally get Lamar one. They thought a good O line and Andrews was enough lol. Harbaugh says they dont need weapons, offensive lineman are weapons remember? Delusional. This isnt 1960s NFL or college.
I don’t care what anyone says about the o-line. We should’ve drafted Nabers. Now our OL still sucks even though we have drafted an OL in the 1st round 3 out of last 4 years
Money, am I imagining that Roman has such great plays in the first quarter then the offense just sputters? Also what is up with these double headers at almost the same air time?
Been a chargers fan since 13 love this team since the San Diego days herbert needs a decent receiver to help this offense maybe try to get mike Williams back or somethin
Tell Ortiz to go get Corey Davis, he’s had a year of rest and he’d be an amazing deep ball threat. He’s still fairly young, he’d be cheap, he’s rested and would be by far the best WR on this squad!!!!!
We need a receiver. Mike dub or Diontae Johnson. Go get the Panthers center. Not perfect, but an upgrade over what we have. We may need a CB if we don't get healthy.
I have no faith in the new management six games in they're building the team from Scrubs they've made no trades they brought in a terrible offensive coordinator they did nothing about the interior line and they got rid of all of Justin Herbert's weapons and I totally believe that the defense is now on a downhill slide since the second half of the Denver game
@@Burt_MacklinJr I saw that! lol he got in, shifted way too late, almost cost them a delay of game, then got pulled out and never came back. But still, how is he supposed to develop with no opportunities on the field. We saw what he can do in camp. There has to be another reason why he’s not on the field
For Charger fans this is all old wine in new bottles…nothing has really changed…Herbert eyeing the exit? And…we got charged to watch the game…that’s the real scandal…
Terrible offensive coordinator, not a single half decent receiver on the entire roster, not one decent TE, and no ck down or third down back who can catch. Then there's the OL with 3 1st-round picks who have holes everywhere and 0 run blocking skills. The center is non-existent. Gets run over on every single play. Chargers never recovered from losing Lindley. Then the defense who doesn't give up many points but gives up huge plays when it matters. They all choke. Even herbert. The only reason they're at .500 is because of the crazy easy schedule so far. Now they brag about the kicker. He's doing what he's supposed to be doing. I always thought that when yiu have a great qb and a great you're going to win. Not sure anymore or not when it comes to the chargers.
Where going to need another vet RB to complement Dobbins who can really beat up that D-line because dobbins he’s been getting locked down and Gus ain’t it
Yes and no. The emphasis on the line was to both run the ball and protect Herbert. Stating they invested in WR while dumping the teams top 2 receivers for 1 2nd round pick is not really accurate. The WR room got considerably worse this year. Ladd was never really going to be a WR1. Could be a great slot guy
@@marcusgerard6331 Cmon. The wide reciever room is a bunch of janitors short of Mcconkie, who will be a nice reciever in time, not a #1. The tackles are great, the guards are subpar. Herbert should demand a trade....
Agree, Herbert needs to step up his draft scouting! Can't believe he chose QJ over Zay/Addison or drafted Zion a guard who can't figure out pass protection in year 3. I can't believe Herbert hasn't drafted a TE other than McKitty a blocking TE in the 3rd round either in 4 drafts since he's been here.

Immaculate timing⚡️ BTFU⚡️⚡️⚡️
Brenden Rice must really be struggling to learn this offense if we bring up practice squad ahead of him. He needs to study or something. LOL I only count lost fumbles. The GREAT LT only lost 12 fumbles in his entire career.
Chark coming back is going to have a huge impact.
lol
No it won't. It's the play calling first and players 2nd
Okay. So if that’s the case, why do you watch? Don’t you have better things to watch that aren’t fixed?
Yes there are options but its frustrating by this team to let us know or say anything so that’s why we freak out that we don’t see or know anything
Wasn't Roman's fault. Dropped passes in key situations, and that fumble out the endzone is what killed us. Need a true #1 receiver.
Now our OL still sucks even though we have drafted an OL in the 1st round 3 out of last 4 years
Can we start a Gofundme to buy Lo a Shure Microphone and hires cam??😂😂😂
Money, am I imagining that Roman has such great plays in the first quarter then the offense just sputters? Also what is up with these double headers at almost the same air time?
Forget Mike Williams, forget Hunter Henry, forget Fat Dom Gamiello who goes over to Jersey and never comes back, we need to trade for Cooper Kupp
Cooper Kupp is getting older and will be on IR sitting next to Bosa for most of the time he’s here.
Is it possible that Greg Roman is a bridge coach who has been hired to install a running game for a team that’s in transition?
Been a chargers fan since 13 love this team since the San Diego days herbert needs a decent receiver to help this offense maybe try to get mike Williams back or somethin
How can we be good if we can’t score more than 17 points to win a game where the 2 first games a fluke?
Tell Ortiz to go get Corey Davis, he’s had a year of rest and he’d be an amazing deep ball threat. He’s still fairly young, he’d be cheap, he’s rested and would be by far the best WR on this squad!!!!!
Signing njuko should be a priority
I think chiefs are someone to be afraid of. Lets be real.
Facts
We need a receiver. Mike dub or Diontae Johnson.
Go get the Panthers center. Not perfect, but an upgrade over what we have.
We may need a CB if we don't get healthy.
I have no faith in the new management six games in they're building the team from Scrubs they've made no trades they brought in a terrible offensive coordinator they did nothing about the interior line and they got rid of all of Justin Herbert's weapons and I totally believe that the defense is now on a downhill slide since the second half of the Denver game
Hey money if by disappointing Red Zone effort you meant disappointed that we only got down into the Red Zone one time then yeah okay
Yes Lo we could be 6-0 easily we could also be 0-6 just as easily
Why didn’t they play Brendan Rice over Reagor???
He must not be producing or learning the plays. They put him in once and he messed up on where to line up costing a TO.
Super bowl caliber defense???? Stop the run in the 4th quarter.
Sorry guys love the show. But I don't think this team as is will win more than 7 games this year.
What are they waiting on then??????
Chargers need to trade Bosa and go out and get Kupp and Za'darious .
You two must think the chargers fans don't know football.
This is the worse offense in Chargers history..
Do you really think that the chargers are going to actually make a trade. I don't.
Staley team could score 21 points in every game. Harbaugh team can not. I see zero change.
Where going to need another vet RB to complement Dobbins who can really beat up that D-line because dobbins he’s been getting locked down and Gus ain’t it
David Jeremiah is Daniel Jeremiah’s dad?!?! small world! 😂
We need better guards
Sleepy Money Cheribundi Mocktail !!!
@MattSmith-kz2qe 😂
tell Lo to stop looking so buff
Love the podcast but Q is not "becoming a very good reciever" that is selling him a little nicely at current time.
Can the Chargers please sign a decent receiver?
Pick up Mike Williams and a good cornerback and we’ll be good.
⚡
1-3 past 4 games 😡
Writing is on the wall we are doing nothing … same as always.
Miscues.
Man Joe aint doin shit rightnow what he waiting on everyone to be gone
All we've done is to support Herbert. Look at all the high draft picks invested in OL, WR. Time for Herbert to step up his game.
🤘💙💪💙⚡️
If you think we're going to qualify for the postseason still you are on drugs we will be lucky to win seven games
Herbert doesn't throw it downfield, not accurate when he does, and throw go balls out of bounds.
