ive hidden my task bar to give me extra room on my screen but its still not enoughh room. in simple view i still dont have a lot of room. like the time line is really thin, i can barely see one track because the tool bar is taking so much. can i make the tool bar smaller? and that dot line on the bottom is so thick as well. is it possibl eto make smaller ?

It's not possible to decrease the bottom dot-line nor the main toolbar (the one from the top). What you can do is hide the main toolbar when you don't need it. To do that, click at the top left on the menu View, then click on View Toolbar (make sure it's unchecked). To view the main toolbar again, repeat the same process View>View Toolbar.

I've tested it on my computer and it's not a standard thing to happen, so this is a bug that might be caused either by OpenShot itself or by something else on the Operating System on your computer. You can try following the steps on this text tutorial from OpenShot website:support.openshot.org/support/solutions/articles/43000625543-openshot-crashes-or-freezes, this tutorial is on how to fix issues when the software crashes or freezes but the step by step might be related to the interface resetting issue. In case none of those steps works, you can open a Bug Report on OpenShot website at this link: www.openshot.org/issues/new/?app-menu, that is a step by step on how to report the bug via log files so the OpenShot team can work on that for a future OpenShot release.
