That did sound like a Steve solo.
Demos are an important part of the process for musicians, but also invaluable to fans who want an insight into the creativity that is employed for their favourite bands. Def Leppard has always had a creative use of chords in their songs, and it seems that Steve's and Phil's styles always meshed together quite well. It is so sad that he left us so soon.

I think most of us have been craving a box set full of demos and such for years now. There's still so much mystery behind that time period with their recording process.

You can hear Steve's soul on the demo. There was a real.sadness about the solo imo. One of his very finest moments. Your embellishments are again top notch and xompliment the track peefectly. I'm sure the guy would have been super flattered. What a perfect tribute.

It's fantastic, you managed to bring Steve's soul that I always felt in this demo. I love both versions, obviously I prefer the demo but I understand that Phil wanted to bring it to the table, give it his touch and not simply copy it, that's what I think. I even prefer all i want is everything demo than the final version, it's magic. Slang has its pearls, others I'm still trying to absorb
