Yeah, the cost of cutting salary seems expensive with the new CBA. Turned an expiring deal into 2 players and 2 picks. I think (hope) Sacramento made this because they have something else important cookin. We'll see

as a raptor fan, im shocked they let go of sasha...i guess theres so many talent like monk dfox that the coach forgot that they have an amazing talent like sasha. forget mitchell, but sasha just need some minutes and he will be him.

Not true. McDaniels played very well in Philly which is why Toronto signed him as a free agent. The Raptors system seemingly didn't fit him plus we don't know what was going on behind the scenes in the locker room. McDaniels should bounce back to form in SacTown.
I'm happy knowing that even if the Raps are down 20 in the 4th there's no chance McDaniels is in the game.

Kings did Sasha so dirty. Went to Europe to BEG him to come just to give him almost no playing time, even when Barnes was giving them nothing. Now they trade him for nothing, what a joke
You’re right I remember Sasha didn’t even want to come to the nba but the kings swore him a spot and minutes to get nothing . Sasha couldn’t even get a rythm going

Sasha’s agent wanted him out, we needed to pay Davion, we just draft his replacement (I love davion but carter is longer and taller), and we needed improvement on defense. We have set guards, Fox Monk Keon and Carter. Y’all are overreacting this was a good move 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
McDaniels is an improvement because he is a proven defender.
@@spidey4004 Im a Raptors fan and know McDaniels well. Trust me he is garbage. He plays scared and confused and is very underdeveloped. He wont last long in this League. You will see. But the trade had nothing to do with McDaniels...it was all about dumping salary for the Kings and sending back McDaniels was worked worked best.

There is a reason why Davion Mitchell Jersey was half off the entire NBA season last year at the arena. They were getting rid of him
If that next big move doesn’t happen, this trade is horrible. And chances for big move are slim, just look at kings history, not many big moves. If they couldn’t do it on draft day when we had all our ‘assets’ and #13, what will they do now? Now we got even less ‘assets’ and no #13? I think after drafting, in their mind best player available, they had to clean space for him and now they’re hoping for miracle.

I’m less salty I think I see the path. Carter is potentially a beast, defense, rebounding and scoring. McDaniel might be a stop gap filler “in case” the big trade doesn’t happen moving Barnes for a biggish SF. Whatever the case they cannot run back Barnes, love the guy but he just doesn’t fit with this team. Every 5th or 6th game Barnes shows up and you remember why you love him. They can’t afford that this season. Plus these bad habits seem to be rubbing off on Keegan can’t have it we need him out front and aggressive not occasionally contributing.
Barnes is a good player but for some reason he not giving it in Kings.

Raptors pods are all over TH-cam braggin that they fleeced us. This doesn’t feel good. 2 players, and 2 picks for this 1 guy? Trying not to be negative but this doesn’t feel good. I’m hoping for a big move somewhere else.
Oh they did well with it...they took an expiring deal and turned into 2 players and 2 picks. I feel like cutting salary is going to cost teams a lot going forward. Now, lets see what the Kings do with that

McNeir could’ve reset the whole roster by holding on to Halliburton and Mitchell and getting a package for Fox that’s his first mistake Fox didn’t sign his extension
Davin was a mistake in the draft , Moody, Kispert, and Sengun were still on the board. Vezenko minutes were mismanaged by brown. He could not get a feel for the NBA game playing 5 minutes every forth day. Giving up two 2nd round picks with mitchell and Vezenko was too much. I see what they are doing to free up money, they better hit a home run in free agency.
I think it was a mistake and it’s a mistake thinking Keon Ellis is better than Davion Mitchell technically the kings look like shit the entire season and Keon played I don’t care what The stats say

First thought is that Monte McNair got PLAYED. I'm not mad about a salary dump but giving away TWO picks as well is stupid. Monte could have done the deal by giving up only 1 pick and the two players. Probably could have negotiated better.
Mavericks had to package three 2nd Rd picks with Tim hardaway jr on an expiring, so it looks like that's just the going rate.

Kings devalued Sasha and Davion then had to dump them for salary. The Kings are royally messing up their margins for value. STUPID no matter what. I hope it works out, but they’re working against themselves by weighing best available to heavy. Players that don’t get minutes lose their value.
We'll see how they pivot from this

Total bust next year and then Fox will be unhappy cause primadonnas are always unhappy and fans will just sit back and go, "ok Mr. Fox, whatever you want. He'll leave and now that Davion is gone. Then we, (you guys I mean) will make a whole set of new excuses. Monty's days should be over.

We’ve increased size and athleticism at 2 bench positions so far, and took flyers on serious length with the 2 way contracts. You still hope they can swing for a starting upgrade at 3/4, but this team is starting to take shape. Just need a few more pieces, or maybe just one, to be taken seriously again. The goal has to be 50 wins next year, and I think this roster can do it
The king's worst enemy is - themselves, Sasha was poorly utilised , how can't you fully use a euro basketball MVP
Sometimes it's just not a good fit. We'll see what it looks like in Toronto...I'm excited for Sasha
Perhaps Monte and Brown weren’t on the same page here. It happens Sasha will be fine in the right system and Toronto is rebuilding so he’ll plenty of run there.

This trade will only make sense if we get kuzma or Ingram . If we don’t we are in trouble this year and will lose fox ultimately
