5-star video, walks you through every step, took me about 1.5 hours following it very carefully. Could do the next one now in 20 minutes. Only rub: You need a T30 Torx, not T25 that it says at the beginning.
Great job doing the step by step of reinstalling the actuator cables. Reinstalling those and the door lock cables are my biggest fears...and something most gloss over
I just bought Toyota FC280PC 22125 for $2 each, and It is possible just to swap the motor without swapping the cap if the rotor length is the same with your car or swap the white/plastic motor cap with the motor in the actuator. The graphite brush inside the door-lock-actuator motor worn out. You do not need to buy the whole actuators. I did it with my 2006 Prius.
I have this same problem, except that door is shut and can't be opened because the lock assembly is already broken; and now I have to find a way to open the door somehow without an actual door lock assembly...

Thanks! Is this the same approach for a 2007 model Prius?
Is the process fairly similar when doing actuators on the front doors.? Or is it more involved
+Ajac41 neverb4 You might be able to apply some of the basic steps shown in this video to your application!
1A Auto Parts thanks I have to replace both front door actuators on my 2011

I'm in the same boat with my prius. Did you figure out how to remove the panel without opening the door?
